msg harmon 02-10-2009, 10:40 PM Pro armor hah. I've been waiting since october for my Front bumper. Called many times, wrote emails, get the same answer each time. Oh should be sending your order the end of this week or the beginning of next week. I've heard that since December. Never order another thing from them that is for sure.
trailin'me 02-11-2009, 03:20 AM the reason they are so far behind is because they outsource them to china ... get some prm's or ac racing ... at least they make them in the usa.
smo0oth1 02-11-2009, 06:57 AM Right on, My wish list has prm's on it
Dave01 02-11-2009, 07:05 AM Right on, My wish list has prm's on it
I have beat on my PRM's and they are holding up great. Plus they are in STOCK....
xx-rated 02-11-2009, 09:31 AM I got the Pro Armor nerfs because I like the look better. PRM does make some good stuff though. I don't personally care for the look of the AC nerfs, and I had a set on my Raptor. Pro Armor has never told me that they were actually shipping until yesterday, just that they had been delayed. Another nice feature of the Pro Armor nerf is that the foot peg is replaceable. To each his own, I wasn't in a big hurry to get mine since I don't really ride thru the winter I was willing to wait.
scuzz 02-11-2009, 10:00 AM No worries.
I TOTALLY understand.
:)

I got the confirmation from UPS today that they are shipping. They will be delivered next Tuesday. Posterboy, did you get yours?
posterboy12 02-16-2009, 05:18 PM I just talked to them at the Dealer Expo and she said that they will be shipping out this week. She even knew the part number off the top of her head. Very cute also :). Now I have a face to go with the voice.
posterboy12 02-16-2009, 05:23 PM That is way to funny,,,just after I submitted my previous post I got my tracking number for my Nerfs that are due to arrive on the 20th. (within like a minute) lol
5W0P3 02-16-2009, 07:25 PM My girlfriend told me she would buy me some for Vday - but i had to pick them out. You guys need to hurry up, i'm waiting!
posterboy12 02-16-2009, 07:36 PM I will try and get them installed and pics as soon as I can. My Wife is not to happy with me currently as I went snowmobiling from the 6-9 and then left for work for the Dealer Expo from the 11-16 (over V-Day). So I will be lucky to get 10 mins in the garage. lol
xx-rated 02-17-2009, 05:20 PM Mine are on the UPS truck and are being delivered today. I went home at lunch to see if they had come, but they weren't there yet. I won't be able to install them until next weekend, cuz' I'm outta town with the wife this weekend. A late V-day trip if you will. A big beer and wine festival in Newport, OR at the Rogue brewery. Don't know if any of you have had Dead Guy Ale, but that stuff gets you hammered in a hurry! Should be a good weekend!
Dave01 02-17-2009, 06:09 PM I was beginning to think the Proarmor Nerfs were like UFO's or the Loch Ness Monster.
A picture would make the front page of the Inquirer magazine:lol::lol::lol:

Why are you posting!? you should be installing! :steamed:
xx-rated 02-19-2009, 01:13 PM I won't be able to get them on until next weekend. I'm leaving town in the morning...at work today..Damn work....Guess I should be grateful that I'm not one the 5 million that are unemployed...GULP!!
posterboy12 02-19-2009, 06:10 PM I'm Jealous,
Mine are suppose to come in Tomorrow. I will possibly get them on this weekend because the wife works :).
posterboy12 02-20-2009, 04:49 PM There in. They look sweet. I did start working on them. I have the LH side on without the netting and most of the bolts are still loose until I get the Rh side on. All I have to say is it was worth the wait. The things look sweet. The back heel guards are awesome looking and they match the contour of the stock plastic ones, almost to a T. Only one minor issue so far. The rear fender bolt hole is too small. I called Pro-Armor already and they said that they can take care of it for me (great people). I told them that I would drill it out and let them know what size it needs to be and send them the info with pics. The only reason it is too small is because you are to use the stock Allen screw with the shoulder on it and the shoulder needs to fit through the hole so that the plastic fits up tight.
Being a Mechanical Engineer, all I have to say about these is WOW. These things do not have any room for error and they fit like a glove.... Awesome Job Pro Armor.
The way it looks after everything is installed there might be some plastic that will be hanging a little bit. This is because Honda had that hanging plastic tied in with the stock plastic heal guard and there is nothing that can really be done about it. Once I get it done I may just trim that section off.
I will try and get some pics soon.
the_hawk 02-21-2009, 05:22 AM cannot wait to see pix
posterboy12 02-21-2009, 08:02 PM @!$$
I messed up... :(
I went over to finish the other side and I messed the threads up on my footpeg bolts. Man they are way to easy to mess up. So I went to the Napa store to get a M10x1.25 tap to fix the thread on the XX. They are know fixed but I ended up ordering new bolts that will be here on Tuesday. I will still get a photo of the one side tomarrow.
Later

xx-rated 02-23-2009, 12:20 PM Those are nice Posterboy! I just wasn't brave enough to go with the coated ones. I got the aluminum, but I think they'll look good against the black. How do you like those Razrs?
posterboy12 02-23-2009, 07:22 PM Hey XX, I have not even been able to try out the Razrs. I will probably get the rears now also. We will see how the finish holds up. The good news is we have our own powder coating line at work, so I can always redo them every year :) You will have to post some picks in raw aluminum, I think they would look good with the stock aluminum rims.

De700 11-01-2009, 09:18 PM Hey PosterBoy, How have the nerfs held up so far?
Rastled 02-29-2012, 06:47 PM I loved the pro armor nerf back plates with fat pegs so much. They look and feel much better when you cut them in half... I love to climb hills a lot and also do A-Z. But nerfs', when hill climbing, is just worth a roll down the hill. They look awesome and feel great as heel guards... Best thing I did with any nerfs ... And yes > De700 > they hold up great in two pieces or four!!!
