: Razor 2 Tires 22x10x11
Nash04 09-14-2009, 11:05 AM What's your cost of these tires.
Ordered some thru Bike Bandit for $106.
Seems to be a good price since my dealer was asking $149.00
Chrisj 09-14-2009, 11:25 AM They don't make a Razr 2 in 11".

Thanks for letting me know, I specified the size 3 times during the order and call them back to verify and they were sending me 22x11x10 so I cancel the order. So what options do we have for a good tire (real good)
dagirl71 09-14-2009, 12:09 PM ok so cant put razr 2's on 700xx what other tires are people putting on then since I keep hearing the dunlops are terrible??
5W0P3 09-14-2009, 12:16 PM Only tire is the regular RAZR. Mine should be here today!
dagirl71 09-14-2009, 12:26 PM Nash04 didnt have those Razr tires very long before one got some holes...and now needs to replace one, so this may sound dumb but are the razr's really the best tire out there?
we ride alot of rocky trails it seems lately... are the razr's meant to endure rocky trails?

Yes they are. And its those or stockers - your choice, but i'll take the razrs!

Went on 4 different web sites and no one carries our size, sucks!! In away the OEM last longer and are radials which can take a blow better than the Razors. Had the razors out 3 rides and have already had 2 punctures and one damage wheel. Pretty Sad!!
Guess that we just need to wait for other suppliers to make some for our bike or change rims size which again due to our IRS, it's not that simple.

You mean IF they make them!? I hate this whole 11" wheel thing :disgust:

Guess that Honda did not think the whole thing before using these odd sizes, even our suspension can not be adjusted for a softer ride, can for stiffer but that's it.
Honda, this is my 3rd bike with you all and this is the first one that I'm disappointed with towards wheels/tires and suspension.

:stupid: Polaris made an IRS w/ 10" wheels - why couldn't Honda?!
dagirl71 09-14-2009, 12:59 PM dumb question again...I know on a car if the bolt pattern is the same then the wheel will fit...on quads its different you cant change the rim size to get a better option? and as for the warranty just put the stock wheels back on it for service right... thats what we do in the auto industry...

You can do put a different wheel/tire size (bigger) and like you stated, you can put your OEM package back on during servicing but not really needed, it really depends on your dealership. Some could use the wrong size for excuse to avoid certain warranty issue but you can change the sizes...just bigger due to wheel clearance for the rear.

Polaris is American
Honda is Japanese even if they are made in CA.
D Bergstrom 09-14-2009, 01:11 PM Rocky Mountain ATV sells the razr in 22x10x11 size, $99 each shipped. Cheapest price I have found. This is really the only tire I have seen for a 11" wheel, other then a couple in 24" tall sizes.
Other option is to get ITP wheels in the 10" size. Makes the quad wider in the rear, but a better selection of tires.
The razr is a good tire. If your are getting flats with razr's, you will probably get flats with any tire.

Just how much wider does it make it!?

Sorry but with the OEM tires that were used and abused, never had a flat tire and am riding the same trails. Perhaps it's just my negative vibes that is bringing me bad luck with the razor, lol!
Matter of fact I did get a flat on my OEM but that's because I was riding on the side of the road which we all know have multiple debris, caught a nail.
Still using the Razor, just wish we had a bigger selection.
Nash04 09-14-2009, 01:26 PM Due to my trailer width, can not get anything wider or else the bike won't fit, trailer width is 48"

do you know of anyone that has changed their rim size on the 700xx?
5W0P3 09-14-2009, 01:48 PM 10" wheels on a XX - but how wide is it?!
edit- forgot my attachment

dagirl71 09-14-2009, 01:58 PM ok so you have 10" rims any difference in ride or performance? its wider?? why??? and you can use any of these tires below? did you have to change the tire size of the front as well? whats the pressure your ride with front & back tires?
5W0P3 09-14-2009, 02:01 PM You just confused me!
D Bergstrom 09-14-2009, 02:02 PM Just how much wider does it make it!?
I think the ITP rear wheels are a 4:3 offset, while the stock wheels are a 5:2 offset. Should make the quad wider by a inch per side.
do you know of anyone that has changed their rim size on the 700xx?
No, but I know I have read posts from people on here that have, just do not remember there names.

So its only going to make it 2" wider - total?! And those 2" make a HUGE difference!?
xx700xx 09-14-2009, 02:16 PM Kenda bear claws are a sweet tire! They have awesome traction and you can do all kinds of riding with them. I ride in mud, technical trails and I jump with them. I have the 24" tall tire I recommend not going so tall unless you really like mud but they have great bite in all conditions!!! They are fairly inexspensive too. I got a good deal at www.mud-throwers.com (http://www.mud-throwers.com)

dagirl71 09-14-2009, 02:38 PM ok now I am completely confused...

The main that you need to concern with your OEM wheel is 11" so you could install some 24x10x11 which would basically give you more height and would demand more power to roll them.
If you decide to go with 10" rim then you can but depending on the tire, it would give you more width and would take less power to roll them.
Hopefully I got this right or else I'm confuse also.

Well not necessarily less power with a 10" wheel. Wheel size doesn't matter all that changes is the side wall height. What takes power away or gives some back is the height of the tire itself. Bigger tires take more power to turn.

Guess that I should have clarified it more, yes with bigger tire, you lose power so if you can only use 24" tires on your stock 11" wheels then you will lose power but if you use a 10" wheel with 20" tires (which is the normal size) then you will gain.

Yep :D
and a 22" wheel on a 9", 10", 11" wheel is still a 22" tire :D
Chrisj 09-14-2009, 03:46 PM I would go 24/9/11 Bearclaws before I'd switch to 10" or 12" rims. The Bearclaws are cheap, tough and wear like leather riding on pavement. Next tire I buy for shits and giggles is the Maxxis Zilla 24/10/11.

There's always been lots of tires for 11" rims. Just not the 22" size. Main thing is to go with lightweight.

Yeah! I see that on their website, debating between the Bear Claw and Duro Red Eagle. Bear Claw is a pound less and is a 6 ply where the Duro is 4 ply but do love their thread pattern. Afraid that the Bear Claw might make allot of noise and a rough ride.

Not noisy at all. There's the Bearclaw EX that's around 16.5lbs.
