Nash04 05-05-2010, 04:21 PM Ok! We are planning a trip to SSRT on July 17th-18th, I might be there earlier since I'm off Friday thru Monday. We haven't check in towards what they have for cabins/rooms as of yet but I would imagine that we should be able to find something.
Oh! Yeah! It's also Dagirl's birthday that weekend and this is her wish so the hubby has to go which is nice to "see" him.:D:D:D

Nash04 05-24-2010, 09:54 AM It's a little further to and from but I'll go for that before going into a motel that has more roaches and people.....Let's do it.
Snowdog 05-24-2010, 10:42 AM I'm okay with it also but I'm concerned about parking and all the trailers. If you haven't I would suggest to ask about that before booking.
WAAAIITTT...it says no pets allowed!
I guess this dog can't come with.....
dagirl71 05-24-2010, 10:48 AM I'm okay with it also but I'm concerned about parking and all the trailers. If you haven't I would suggest to ask about that before booking.

:lmao::lmao::funny::lmao::lmao:
Nash04 05-24-2010, 11:05 AM Did you noticed that it's a 2 day rental, I can be there on Friday since I'll be off and would be nice to stay in the woods for a couple of nights but don't know if they would let me stay there alone one night and the rest of you coming in on Saturday.
Snowdog 05-24-2010, 11:12 AM I'm off on Friday also and plan on being up there by dinner time on Friday so I'm okay with that also Joe.
dagirl71 05-24-2010, 11:14 AM we are coming on friday night!!! I am off Saturday...
Nash04 05-24-2010, 11:17 AM The hubby is going to be ok with that, oh! yeah! he doesn't know yet! lol!! Cool! then we will have more time to have fun up there and do more exploring.
Nash04 05-24-2010, 11:18 AM Yeah! We need to check about parking area, can't see any pictures of it but I would imagine they should be ok since they are able to handle large groups.
dagirl71 05-24-2010, 11:22 AM I would too so I will book the 3 bedroom cabin first...and go from there, sound good?
Nash04 05-24-2010, 11:24 AM Is CJ and Doug coming? You know how they are about sleeping area and I noticed the couches are not as nice as Penny's so I'll need a bed this time, lol!
Nash04 05-24-2010, 11:26 AM Sorry, noticed that it can sleep up to 6. Thought that Vinny mentioned that he might come up or was I thinking of something else. What about Al
dagirl71 05-24-2010, 11:34 AM I will book the solo cabin for mike and me and the 3 bedroom for you boys?
Snowdog 05-24-2010, 12:00 PM I don't have a problem with that, I just need a bed.
Nash04 05-24-2010, 01:01 PM Thank you :-) Didn't want to hear all that yapping.....from Mike, lmao!! Love the boy but he tends to talk a tab too much some times.
Snowdog 05-24-2010, 01:40 PM You Don't Say!
dagirl71 05-24-2010, 02:12 PM funny boys... he cant help himself he is VERY animated!!!
Snowdog 05-25-2010, 10:31 AM I invited my neighbor and he is interested just a little too far out for him to know his schedule. I also have one person interested from the Wolverine site who lives in New York.
dagirl71 05-25-2010, 11:15 AM I am going to post on the atvzone theres a few peeps that I have been trying to get a ride with so maybe it will work out... any thoughts? Joe said he thought it was a good idea... just afraid it will be like the last group ride of last year and too many people to have fun...
Snowdog 05-25-2010, 02:04 PM I'm fine with it, I would like to ride with some of the other people on there as well. I'll be buying my own GPS for my own POS and take my OSA and go ride MAO! :lmao:
Nash04 05-25-2010, 02:58 PM Dan
We might be getting a guided tour which is equates between 65-85 miles, it all depends on the size of the group. Think that Nicky sent a PM to a member from the Atvzone, been told he knows the area very good, we just need to give him a tip per rider which is aok with me if he shows us all the good places. What is OSA? Also I have some gps maps for that area if you want them.
Snowdog 05-25-2010, 03:38 PM Own Sorry A$$
I don't mind tiping anyone for a good ride like that!
I can't decide between the Garmin 60csx and the DeLorme Earthmate PN-40.
I have waaaayyy too many things going on again and need to get this finished up.
Nash04 05-25-2010, 05:46 PM Check out Al's gps, he has a nice one but don't know what brand and how much he paid for it. I have the Legend HCx which cost $188, you can buy it at WalMart.
Nuke1 06-02-2010, 09:29 PM Wish that I could go that weekend, but my little bro is getting married. We may be going on June 6 for the day. Luckily this is only 2 hours away for me.
dagirl71 06-23-2010, 07:01 AM ok so need to think about this trip. Anyone in the tri state area wishing to ride SSRT click the link to check it out. Next week I will try to get group rates at a hotel. I have heard nothing but, "SSRT is awesome" from anyone who has ridden there. There are a few from this site and a few from the atv zone coming. Its a good family oriented place if you want to make a family weekend out of it!
http://www.ssrt.org/map.htm
scuzz 06-23-2010, 09:20 AM Changed Title 4U guys.
Snowdog 06-23-2010, 05:34 PM Just called Cherry Ridge Cabins and #4 cabin is already rented for the weekend but cabin 1,2,3 and 5 are available. There also is a log house/cabin that is not advertised on their site that is available. They do not have air conditioning but says its plenty cool with the fans and the tall trees. I can agree to that to a point because last weekend we were up at my brothers cabin in Towanda, PA and he didn't have the a/c on but it actually felt like it it was so cool in the cabin. Obviously they want us too book asap which I expected and they just had a group there with a bunch of ATV's and trailers and there is no problem with space and a bunch of trailers.
We need a good count of who is going and if they want to chance it at the cabins
without a/c or do you want to go to the Kwik Fill Hotel or the Ramada Inn?
dagirl71 06-23-2010, 07:31 PM lets check out the ramada in
Snowdog 06-23-2010, 07:34 PM lets check out the ramada in
As long as you don't tell Mike !
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:
:haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:
dagirl71 06-23-2010, 07:37 PM haha I wont this trip was enough....
Snowdog 06-23-2010, 08:11 PM All I'm finding is $98 - $115 per night before taxes at the Ramada.
If you book it with two queen beds and split the cost between 2 people it isn't too bad.
dagirl71 06-23-2010, 09:11 PM sounds great to us just checked with the guys... now a head count hmmm
dagirl71 06-28-2010, 09:40 PM hey few questions:
do I need to be reg & ins in pa? also can we get the permits there? also what trail head we meeting at?
Nash04 06-28-2010, 10:06 PM They state that it must be registered and insured but do not say anything about if it's ok to be registered in another state, I would call them up since they do not have an email address. Here's the secretary's number; Secretary: George Holt (814) 345-6526
dagirl71 06-28-2010, 10:32 PM thanks Joe would suck to not be able to ride...

scuzz 06-29-2010, 02:35 PM 13.All operators should act in a safe and responsible manner.
Oh well, cancel the trip now or you guys are screwed.
dagirl71 06-29-2010, 02:40 PM :funny: but oh sooooo true
Nash04 06-29-2010, 03:20 PM Well! they don't really say "PA" registered, they say "state" registered so that could mean any state as long as they are registered and insured.
dagirl71 06-29-2010, 05:54 PM ok so he called me back... said you need insurance. He also stated you need reg and they pa will accept NJ... but when I ask what about out of state where reg is not done he was stumped and will have to call me back. Said there are 4 places that sell permits on the spot as well..
Nash04 06-29-2010, 06:25 PM Sounds good to me, now we just need to figure out where we are going to stay?

Nash04 07-01-2010, 11:04 PM Thanks for the info, the only problem that I see, can't and won't put that sticker on my graphics....no way!! They'll have to deal with it being on my helmet.
dagirl71 07-01-2010, 11:22 PM ok so we are staying at the kwik fill motel...
Nash04 07-02-2010, 06:31 AM What are the prices and do you have their number, will make my reservation this weekend, we are going Friday thru Sunday....right?
Snowdog 07-02-2010, 07:17 AM Nikki, did you get the email I sent you about what Mark/Mr. Mayor said.?....LOL
Yes Joe, 7/16-7/18 at least for me!
dagirl71 07-02-2010, 08:29 AM Nikki, did you get the email I sent you about what Mark/Mr. Mayor said.?....LOL
Yes Joe, 7/16-7/18 at least for me!
nope did get it!
Snowdog 07-02-2010, 09:33 AM Mark/Mr. Mayor wrote this in the shoutbox on the zones site
"I will not entertain Kwikfill.... dude... I felt like I was in a carton of cigarettes.... with some nasty things on the floor..... I think I'm the only wimp at Ramada again."
Nash04 07-02-2010, 10:42 AM Is he saying that we are going to see some un-welcome critters besides some of our riding buddies, lol!!
dagirl71 07-02-2010, 11:13 AM ok so we doing ramada? the room is $125 a night with 2 beds its $125 a person for 2 days???
what odd is so many others stayed there... but I trust mark others might only care its 80 less for the weekend
dagirl71 07-02-2010, 11:15 AM oh phucknutz found a place you can rent trailers...
Dan this might be to expensive for your other person but if its nasty I really dont want to sleep there
Snowdog 07-02-2010, 11:27 AM My final vote is for the Ramada Inn.
dagirl71 07-02-2010, 11:30 AM myself, me and doug are ok for ramada inn as well so its only joe we need to ask if he ok.
doug wants his own room, mike and me another so u and joe share?
Snowdog 07-02-2010, 11:36 AM I'm fine with that.
The guy from NY even said if he had to sleep on a air mattress he would but if
anyone else wants to go they'll need another room. I'm still waiting on my neighbor
to decide and also another person from the Wolverine site that said they wanted
to go but he hasn't called or emailed me back from yesterday.
Okay, the guy from the Wolverine site emailed me back and can't make it.
Nash04 07-02-2010, 02:15 PM $125 a night!! That's $50 less than what we paid last week for the whole week? Have to look at my budget since I do have some Vegas friends coming up here the first week of August and we just came back from Hatfield.
dagirl71 07-02-2010, 02:25 PM 125 for two days if you and dan share a room
Nash04 07-02-2010, 02:30 PM ok so we doing ramada? the room is $125 a night with 2 beds its $125 a person for 2 days???
what odd is so many others stayed there... but I trust mark others might only care its 80 less for the weekend
So it's $62.50 per person/night? If so, then I could afford it and would stay with Dan if he doesn't mind my snoring, lol!!
Nash04 07-02-2010, 02:40 PM What about this one http://res.cheaprooms.com/hotel/propertydetails/211953/SUMMARY?isHRN=true&position=5&travelDetail=[20100716-2]2&cid=249602
It's about 4 miles more but it's right in the college area so we have a better choice of restaurants/bars/girls....lol!
Snowdog 07-02-2010, 04:15 PM So it's $62.50 per person/night? If so, then I could afford it and would stay with Dan if he doesn't mind my snoring, lol!!
If its $62.50 per person/per night than book it, I don't mind.
I can sleep threw anything it wont bother me.
dagirl71 07-02-2010, 04:21 PM What about this one http://res.cheaprooms.com/hotel/propertydetails/211953/SUMMARY?isHRN=true&position=5&travelDetail=[20100716-2]2&cid=249602

Snowdog 07-02-2010, 05:41 PM I sent Mark/Mr. Mayor a PM about the Kwik Fill and here is his reply!
Maybe I'm a wimp, but I wouldn't stay there for free... I stayed in Ramada for 80 a night.. the way I see, it, if u need a tetanus shot and sandals to shower??? Ew!
Haha.. I'm spoiled, what can I say?
Just book the Ramada !
Nash04 07-02-2010, 05:57 PM Made the reservation, cost is $218.68
Snowdog 07-02-2010, 07:44 PM So I owe you $18.68......:lmao:
OK..OK..per room? per person?
Nash04 07-02-2010, 09:49 PM LOL!!! Nah! Looks like someone was not too good in math in high school, lol! it's per room for both nights
thevinstigator 07-03-2010, 06:42 AM I wish I could make it for Nikki`s birthday, but I already had a family vacation to Nashville booked. I will not miss another ride this season, riding close to home is OK but I want to explore new places. Keep us up to date on future rides.

dagirl71 07-17-2010, 08:01 PM what a great ride!!! 92 miles and great weather!!!wohooooo :)
scuzz 07-17-2010, 08:57 PM WOW! That is a serious ride.
How did everything go?
dagirl71 07-17-2010, 09:38 PM it is amazing here! its like being in west virginia except there is a lot of towns and roads to ride on. we went thru a very cool tunnel over a very high bridge... I am blown away by all the riding there is here... truly breath taking views and awesome hill climbs!! not to many jumps though :( but I give it an A!!!
thevinstigator 07-18-2010, 07:01 AM Figures I miss this ride and it turns out AWESOME, see ya soon.
Snowdog 07-18-2010, 11:51 AM What a great weekend! Can't wait to do that again. Nash04, ag2560 and I were up there Friday afternoon and rode 32 miles. Then like dagirl said we 92 more miles on Saturday. As much as I wanted to stay it was better for me to leave Sunday morning then ride 3 or 4 more hours.
Great time with great friends!
Nash04 07-18-2010, 06:31 PM The whole weekend was fun, did about 40 miles today and found some new trails by mistake and found the "play" area which is small but ok. The scenery and tunnel/bridge was great, the only that we wish they had on or around the trail, gas stations, they have bars/eating areas but no gas station even though I only used about 2.5 gallons, would be nice to have, they are working on it. Probably going back this September before TN
dagirl71 07-18-2010, 07:25 PM We cant wait till Sept we need to go in August on my next weekend off :) I really am amazed at all that great riding...$15 permit for the year...and its that close! Me being the nut I am would go for the day if it meant I could go ride there sooner!!!
Vinnie I hope next time you can come...
For everyone else if you can get to SSRT in Clarence Pa it is worth the trip... do it! You will not be disappointed :)
