Going up a STEEP rock trail this afternoon the XX decided it wanted to get traction and flip backwards at the top :ohno::steamed::mad:

Didn't hurt anything but bent the right side handle bar a little bit. I hear people talking about the Pro-Taper bars, which one is best for trail riding?

Pro Taper, Tag, Renthal, they're all good. Just make sure you get a bend thatb you like.

If you wanna go high-end, go with Flexx.

Lol hell yea, I didn't flip mine but stood it up on a small jump and kicked off of it cause I thought it was coming backward.

yeah dood ..i did that very thing to mine with 2 hours on it ... bent the handlebar (shit anyway) and bent the stem. Id be willing to bet you bent the stem too ... but i hope not.

Youll need an adapter for fatbars ... plz be sure to check the stem as well.

I have the Pro Taper EVO's with a Trail Tech clamp. The clamp looks sweet, but the "dash" does not fit right over the cables in front. You have to do some trimming to make it fit.

I kind of wish I had bit the bullet and got the Flexx bars, but I guess I'll use that money towards some shocks.

Yeah, the funny thing is - I wasn't the one riding it when it happened. I guess not really funny. We were all trying to get it up the hill (4) of us. It was one of those rocky trails at RRMT, i'm sure you passed by and said F that. I should have too. I was about 6 feet behind it when it started going up. The guy riding it has a raptor 700... guess he wasn't used to Honda Power!:hey:

I'll take a pic of the EVO's for you soon. The FLEXX bars take away a lot of the pounding that your hansd/wrists/arms take. Kind of like suspension built into your bars. They are pretty nice. My buddy had some on his Raptor and loved them. I liked them too with the limited time I spent on his quad. If you ride fast in rocky terrain, I'm sure you'd love them. For me they are not a must have unless you have a big toy budget. I think you'd get more out of a shock replacement, by far.

Ha! No trail scares me! I just don't do those kinds of trails solo...wouldn't want people to find me via the buzzards circling overhead. Helmet or not.

Speaking of there's a guy in the other forum who's parting-out his 700xx nearby, want me to ask him if he still has his bars? He might need the christmas money...
