: Curtis Sparks Racing
DblXX 12-31-2008, 04:22 PM i just got an email today from curtis sparks racing i asked when there will be an exhaust for the XX, they say it will be out soon but does anybody know anything else about that. i have been calling and emailing to different places and all they can tell me is that there will be alot of things coming out in Febuary.
scuzz 12-31-2008, 04:25 PM Tell them "I'm looking to pre-order".
You'll get a more definitive date.
DblXX 12-31-2008, 04:27 PM good idea
smo0oth1 12-31-2008, 04:28 PM I spoke with them this morning while trying to source a piston and they told me they haven't even had a XX in there shop yet....
DblXX 12-31-2008, 04:30 PM they can use mine, they always have come out with some awsome parts for honda's
smo0oth1 12-31-2008, 04:37 PM Call them up and offer, I was asked yesterday to ship my bike to someone for extended rear A-Arms... They needed 2 months to engineer and build em though. Dunno if i wanna go without the bike that long. They said they'll be about 2000.00 when they come out and include the extended axles.
scuzz 12-31-2008, 04:40 PM yeah then you get 'yer quad back all ragged by the "R&D" guys.
smo0oth1 12-31-2008, 04:48 PM lol, yea that crossed my mind
scuzz 12-31-2008, 04:50 PM I wouldn't mind so much if I lived nearby and could visit the progress. But when it's out of sight they think it's out of your mind.

tell them to send you a loaner while the work on yours. lol.
DblXX 01-30-2009, 03:47 PM i called Sparks Racing today, 10 days till they release the full exhaust for the XX, but they told me to call back in one week and place my order, prices should run about $550.
VelociRaptor 01-30-2009, 05:30 PM Cheaper than the Raptor exhaust.
scuzz 01-30-2009, 07:49 PM Probably due to the one exhaust outlet and R&D involved in two?
DblXX 01-30-2009, 08:55 PM i would almost thinik that having the two pipes like the raptor if you tune the lengths right you could almost make a scavenging effects like a multi tube header on a v8 would be.
scuzz 01-30-2009, 09:08 PM My thoughts too, hence the extra cost of developing them. (not making fun, but rather agreeing)
Hi, I just joined this club to learn more about what's avialable out there for the 700xx, and to pick the brains of the more experienced members. I went to the dealer the other day to pick one one, and see that I have a choice to buy a 2008 model or a 2009 for a little more. Does anyone know of any changes or improvement to the 2009 model? Also, is the curtis sparks exhaust available yet?
thanks
smo0oth1 02-01-2009, 04:10 PM I believe the only difference for the 09 the color option, The curtis sparks setup can be ordered toward the end of the week
THREESVTS 02-01-2009, 05:38 PM The only things different is the wheel base is .2" longer on the 2008 model at 49.8" and as previously stated color options for the 2009 model.
Thanks for the info. And as far as the exhaust and fuel controler is concerned, what seems to be the majorty vote on which systems works best. I am the type that cant leave well enough alone, and yet want a system I would install and never touch again.
THREESVTS 02-01-2009, 06:18 PM I like the Yoshi system and a PC3 EFI controller. It's what I have and they work great together.
DblXX 02-12-2009, 09:33 PM well its still another month out, they are having issues with routing and mounting the exhaust due to the IRS, so they say. im growing tired of waiting for sparks racing, i hope its worth it.

Hey, I'm gonna be heading to Sand Hill ATV sometime in the middle of March, think you'll have something then?
Dave01 02-13-2009, 10:13 AM They make some nice looking pipes. Good sound coming from them too.

The PCIII seems to be the favorite among the majority, when I'm ready it will be the one I get. I'm still not decided on the exhaust.
