I'm interested in getting a helmet cam, but I don't really know anything about them. I was wondering what everyone has used and what would be good to get if I do decide to get one. Sure would make for some cool footage to remember going on riding trips and to share our trails with others.

I think i'm bout to do a top speed run with my Garmin GPS and Video camera though... if only it wasn't 30* outside.

I like the smaller one because...well it's smaller, but the GoPro has the wide angle the looks really nice.

Thanks, I think the Oregon is about what I'd be interested in. I want to make sure I get a good enough one that is worth it but since I've never used one before I don't want to spend too much on it and find out that I don't use it much.

Yeah I like how small it is too.

My Friends use the GoPro during racing and they like them the best. They work great.

If I was to get one I think i'd mount it on the quad, so it wouldn't really be necessary to get an actual helmet cam, but i've seen videos where they have been mounted on bikes.

Here is a cam system I'm looking at... It can take the higher vibrations and still be steady with the picture...small enough to mount pretty mucy anywhere on you or the machine for some interesting angles.

I bought the GoPro Hero Cam today. Here's a picture from it. I like the camera, but it needs to pick up sounds a little more. There are two settings, lo/hi. I took some video of the Cadillac but it was on Lo. You can BARELY hear it. Here's the picture

Which was about 2 minutes after I rolled mine. Thank God for sand. Pretty sure i'll have a HUGE bruise on my hip tomorrow. What you missed was my fight with the barb wire fence after you guys left. Remember when we crossed the creek and i tried to slide, but it dug and went straight?! Yeah - same thing this time only there was a fence. No damage from either incidents though haha.

Good times today. If anyone gets the chance to ride with Gary, he's a great guy and a good rider. He went over some stuff I wouldn't even have thought to do. A+

i was using this very camera ... i could never tell if it was filming or not if it was on my helmet .. and the batteries kept taking a shit... thing takes great videos though ... really good for the price.

i have mac's ... and have a sony acvhd memory card camcorder ... and have lots of footage from riding ... made a clamp mount with a bolt on the handlebar ... now that i got toast titanium 10 from torrentleech i can actually put the videos on my computer and share them ...

oh ... kinkos has the xx manual in .pdf for me .. i just need to go pay them and pick it up so ill be sharing that as well.
