Sonce this will be another state I'm moving to for work I figured it would be a good idea to get some people together for a ride!

Where do you guys ride at? I'll be in Bartlesville, anything worth riding around there?

I live in Tulsa, but I've never ridden around Bartlesville. Around here, most people go to Appalachia Bay or Whitewater, both of which are off of Keystone Lake (near Tulsa). They say Disney, OK, has some pretty gnarly stuff (rock crawlers usually go there, but there are some quads around). I went with some friends of mine down to Scipio, OK, and had a blast. I still haven't made it out to anywhere in AR, but there are several supposedly awesome spots there.

And I just got back from a trip to Red River, NM. What a great riding spot that is. I know it's a long ways, but you probably won't have any trouble finding OK locals willing to make the trip. In fact, that trip is what convinced me to start looking at buying a 700XX--my Outlander gets downright spooky when you get it very far off the ground.

Appalachia bay on keystone lake kind of far from bartlesville but worth the drive when its down this is my main stomping grounds in tulsa area I have a friend that lives just off the lake so its a 15 min drive for us

Grand lake area there are a few around there
Disney. Awesome trails lots of rock
Salina dam small but fun to go mudding in the rain lol

As far as mx tracks they are mostly private in that area stillwater is probably the closest I know of but you have to have a $$$ permit I'm sure there is one around north tulsa but I don't know

Sand little sahara is always the sand capitol in OK

I'm sure I'm missing a lot but I'm not from up there so somebody close might be able to help with other areas

I need to get a set of paddles so I can go out there sometime I'm still trying to recoup from my car repairs though

You interested in disney at all? We are leaving fri night sat morning9/10-9/11 should be there till sunday evening if anyone wants to come ride there is some RC event going on out there probably an RC rock crawling competition so camping space might be limited but your more than welcome to join us

Anyone ever come to the north central Arkansas area around Greers Ferry lake look me up. Between me and all the people at work I'm finding all kinds of good places to ride. Unfortunately all of them ride utilities so I get to spend 3/4 of the day waiting for them to catch up :nuts: need some sport quads around here! come on!

It's the riding area at the north end of lake altus. It's kindof a teaser for little sahara. Similar terrain, just smaller dunes and not as many of them, but it's 30 minutes from the house.

we need to get a Little Sahara group ride for sometime in October set up. I just need couple weeks notice so I can change my work schedule so i can have it off.

The Sand Springs/Mannford/Lake Keystone area.

Basically MustangGH's back yard.

Take 75 down to 412, head west. Go maybe something like 10 miles, take the exit for Bears Glen--Appalachia Bay, follow the signs. It's a fun riding area. There's beach to ride on, sandy trails, and some technical stuff. There are plenty of blind corners on the trails, so some caution is advisable. Also, the lake is down pretty far right now, so there are parts available to ride on that are usually underwater.

Open flat sandy beaches for hauling ass till you've topped out your 13t gearing. (not very fast)

Some really steep rocky/tree root covered hills. A big sandy hill. Some small jumps in the sand. Lots of rocks for crawlin around on. Plenty of mud to be found. Some circle tracks and whatnot.

Pretty fun all around place. You will never follow the same course twice. You always end up on a different trail every time you go out.

The finish marker for that google trip is right at the front gate. Since you're not camping, you can drive right past the booth, then make your first left. Then you see the parking lot, nothing to it.

Worked for me, and I love free riding.

Well, the turn is immediately after the gate and if you have a trailer it is kind of a tight turn.

But going back in there there will be a parking lot with some big gravel mounds, go past that to the back lot. That is where we always go since it has the entrance to the riding area.

But if you call ahead of time one of us could meet you in sand springs (you will drive through there on 412 before you get to App Bay) and you can follow us there.

I'm not going - I feel like crap and the weather plus the ride will only make it worse. :(

I agree. My atv is feelin lonely but I don't prefer to ride in the cold. It takes the fun out of it.

Scuzz--alright, so I'm too late to help you out. I'm in a state of flux right now because I'm moving to OKC. But me and some buddies went riding down at Lake Murray in southern OK, and had a blast. Lots of sandy riding and tree-dodging, I'd recommend you add it to the list of places you want to try.

Good luck finding a spot to camp though. Most of the regulars plan and reserve a year in advance

We cant go because it's the day before a race and we try not to ride on the day before one.

I know that and actually it is the day of our race that the main events will take place unless your there for the wild parties then its a week long ordeal lol
