Prm-atv is promising skid plates for the XX by May 14th, which was two days ago. DG is supposedly working on nerf bars and a front bumper (that info courtesy of Posterboy). Rocky Mountain ATV lists the DG nerfs and bumper....

Have you heard anything else from DG regarding their bumper? I hope Pro Armor jumps on the bandwagon pretty soon. I'm curious as far as what full nerfs with heel guards will look like. I saw a pic of one over on the forum at atvriders.com and I didn't care for the look at all. But they had retrofitted a set of AC's from a 450R, they weren't made for the XX. The heel guard is so well "integrated" into the plastic on the XX, that it will look odd without a really well designed nerf/heel combo.

Are you thinking about getting a pipe yet? How's the shock thing coming along? I see that HMF is looking for people in Ohio to give up their quad for two weeks for R&D on a pipe and possibly HLS shocks for it.

We need to get this site jumpstarted so spread the word!! We talked about this thing for months before it got here, now that we've got em' it's gone dead quiet around here!

I sent another Email to DG. I haven't heard back.... I also have not heard anything on the shocks yet. I will be Powder coating my nerf bars black or Black texture to go with the frame. We have a powder coating line at work :) .

I will let you know on how the skid plate goes. If I had the time at work I would design and manufacture my own nerfs and front bumper.

I would like a pipe but not sure what to get?? I do not want it loud just nice and deap sounding :) .

I am leaving on Thursday or Friday morning for my first trail ride.

Well I just ordered my Vapor for my 700xx and some Pro-Taper bars.
http://trailtech.net/trx700xx.html

So I will be busy thursday installing of that and my skid plate for the ride this weekend.

Check out this link to some pictures of a modded 700xx.

Did you hear that the 700xx got 1st and 3rd in the Baja 500 this past weekend? :P :P A 450r got 2nd.

I would love that suspension :)

I was checking out the Trail Tech clamp and Vapor setup last night. I like the Vapor, but I don't think that it would hold up to all the mud and water that I would expose it to in the spring and late fall. I'm getting the Trail Tech logo clamp. The big question is X-bars, Pro Tapers or spend the big bucks for some FLEXX bars. $300 for handlebars is a lot, but they are sweet! I had a set of X-bars on my Raptor and for the price, I don't think you can beat 'em.

Posterboy,
What bend did you get on your Pro Tapers? CR HI or Woods Hi? Are the Pro Tapers really that much better than the X bars? I was looking at the Evo bars, they are pretty nice.

I got the KX High

Same as ATV Mid but a little narrower. The Cr's would have been shorter than stock and the woods would have been Shorter than stock and to narrow for me.

Woods High are 775 95 62
CR High are 800 95 60
KX High are 800 108 56
ATV Mid are 813 108 56

Evo's are nice but not worth the extra $30

I got the Pro Tapers for $61 from the http://www.rootriverpowersports.com. These are the friends that I hang out with at the track that I ride. If you need parts ask for Rod and tell him that Corey sent you.

I already got my front a-arm guards from PRM, should be getting my Trail Tech clamp and Pro Tapers today! I got the Evo's (only $18 bucks more than the Contours) in the CR hi bend. With the Trail Tech clamp, the CR hi bend matches the stock height. Can't wait to get this stuff on, I HATE stock handlebar setups! Will post pics!

I didn't get mine on yet, hopefully I will this weekend. Posterboy posted a pic of his setup on another forum, they looked sweet. Look for another ride review and some "dirty" pics soon!

I got the Vapor and XBArs installed today. Anyone know what the PPR Value is? (Pulse Per Revolution) Also what is the normal temp and too hot temps?

0.5 is the setting for PPR. As for temps I am also wondering that question. Mine has been running around 210 putting around and it had hit a max so far at about 221. When I open it up it gets down to about 196-198 and this was on a hot 85 degree day with around 70-80 percent humidity.

I also notices that the RPM doesn't work perfectly all of the time on the Vapor.

For your RPM did you just wrap the coil? What do you idle at? 760 something and it erratically jumps to 1100ish?

Like I said... It jumps all over the place. Mine will even jump up to 14000 at times. As for the coil...I inserted the cable into the correct wire connector on the coil as specified buy the guys at Vapor.

I talked to the vapor guys again. They said that I should try and put the cable on the spark plug cable. He said to lay at least one inch of the cable flat on the spark plug wire and tape it on with some electrical tape.

Pro Armor has three different bumpers out for the XX, and some armor too.

Here's the link to the Pro Armor site. I can't decide between the Bullhorn and the Pro XC.
