It might help a little, but won't solve it completely. There's been a lot of discussion on this in the forums, might wanna look around and see what others are saying about it.

You just have to change the way you now ride. After a few rides I'm now confident that I can just about do anything (i.e. turns) that I could with my SRA 400EX. Now when I have a tight turn I shift my weight forward and "goose" the gas.

I agree, the IRS just requires a different riding style. It is a bit more difficult to master than SRA, but as you begin to get the hang of it handles so well and you can fly around corners.

Yeah and technical/very uneven trails really makes this thing shine.

I read the article in the Quad Magazine for Nov. 2008 (probably a little late on this) but their review said to just pin on it on the woops and that will keep the rearend from coming up. i'm going to try this next time i goto RRMT. Think it'll help? Some of those beat the crap out of me.

Ah...you might want to start out on some woops that are consistant. The woops at RRMT are anything but...you could find yourself floating over the 1st two or three and then find yourself smack dabb in the middle of the last one.

I had a really close call once at Little Sahara in OK doing this. I was awesome (or so I thought) flying over the woops in one section, then I tried it in another when it was getting dark on an overcast day. My back end bucked up and I almost lost it at WOT.

With SRA, you move horizontally to inside of turn and push the axle to the outside in a turn. This works like a charm with the 400EX with holeshot XCT's.

With IRS on 700xx, you lean forward, putting chest near handle bars, while moving horizontally to the inside of the turn and mash the throttle in the middle of the turn (apex?) to get the wheels to come around? Sorry for being elementary, but I barely have any time on mine with a four month old at home. She pushed like crazy on my first and only outing.

Yeah, you described it very well.

Thanks. Probably the patent attorney in me coming out. Hopefully, I can get some time on it soon with the new tires.

I wonder if the fabricators e.g., Sonic, are applying for utility or design patents on their improvements. Trademarks also? If not, my firm might be able to help. This is certainly a field of interest for me.

Have a great weekend and be safe.

Ride it more like a PWC than a SRA quad.
