New Guy here from Oklahoma, Patrick, 34, single, aircraft mechanic, and suspect my GF is BiPolar. I bought my '08 700xx a couple of weeks ago and have about 3 hours on it. My only other ATV was a '04 400ex. As of now I sure do miss the solid rear axle, haven't stiffened the rear of the 700 yet though.
I plan on going to "Little Sahara" in OK in the Spring and Colorado in the Summer. I'm curious to see how the 700xx will perform at high elevation.

my names Nick, 24yrs old i too work on oil and gas platforms in the gulf and when im not working im usually on the XX. i also like taking my truck off into a mud hole from time to time or running it down a trail at 50+mph cause thats how us long travel guys like to do it. dont' have a G/F or a wife, i got tired of all the bull shit and enjoy living single and doing what ever i want to do. im from New Orleans but live in Lafayette, LA. got my bike the week before Christmas and just about ready to do the Big 3.

for the exhaust i would like to use the FMF megabomb head pipe and Titanium4 pipe, but its not available for the XX so im going to use the powerbomb head pipe and powercore4 muffler, K&N filter, and power commander.

The Megabomb sacrifices bottom end for more top end. I think the powerbomb is best unless you have a drag or race bike hanging in the upper RPM's

I would say the equipment is probably out of date, I would opt for newer hardware over refreshing the OS and drivers on the old one.

I'm Derek and I just picked up an '08 700xx yesterday. I have been riding for about 20 years and have owned a wide array of machines. I started on a Kawasaki KLT200 three wheeler, moved on to an ATC200X, an ATC250R, a Blaster, an LT250R, a Banshee, a Cannondale Cannibal, a KFX700, and most recently a Brute Force 650. I sold the Brute Force Wednesday and then got my new 700xx--I also have a Rancher 420 as well.

I live in Western Nebraska and am a shop manager at a large body shop.

I am looking forward to getting to know my new machine logging some miles aboard this beast.

I try to hit Halsey 2-3 times a year. We also go west into Wyoming to Seminoe Reservoir, Laramie Peak, and Killpecker Sand Dunes and down to Walden in Colorado. I am in Scottsbluff, so I am closer to Colorado and Wyoming spots than any in Nebraska.

I bet Wyoming and Colorado would have some sweet riding spots! I currently live in Omaha so Halsey is a bit of a trip for me, but they have three new parks that have the go for construction. I can't remember where exactly but I know one is near Lincoln and one is near Harlan County Reservoir.
