Yep, automatic, but it has a clutch and the line stating no title necessary would make me think a lot on this one.

Yeah, it looks like (from the other auctions) this guy owns a pawn shop.

His feedback is less than rosy also.

I think he is refering to being able to shift it without a clutch, Ive heard that statement before many times. I never recommend shifting without a clutch especially under power. Ive had a buddy that shifted his warrior without using the clutch, he only used the clutch for starting a stopping.

Is there any difference between ATV trannies and sportbike trannies? I used to clutchless upshift all of the time on my bikes and never had an issue. Haven't even thought about it on the XX, though I wish that I could reverse the shift pattern.

Probably simular, the clutch is there to take the shock out of the synchros.

I never did it when riding casually, but on the track I'd just put a little pressure on the shifter, roll off of the throttle, and it would practically shift itself. You couldn't ask for anything smoother. I did a pile of trackdays and never had a hiccup from the trannie. I really don't see where I would need to do it on the quad though, the clutch is more of a tool in the dirt than on pavement.

Um...if anything you would use the clutch *more* on pavement rather than dirt. Dirt would give a lot more between gears and allow the syncros to....uh...syncronize.

Taking off you would need the clutch on both.

I never used the clutch to break the rear loose on the track, the throttle did well enough at that :( That is what I meant about it being a tool, i.e. slide the rear, lift the front, etc.

Personally, I know that I can shift better/ smoother w/o the clutch than with it. Don't knock it until you've tried!
