I need those tires for the dyno!
aschuck 02-13-2009, 02:49 PM How do you like the Terrycable throttle?
I'm thinking about getting one.
Can you lock the twist part when using the thumb part?

bars were on it when i bought it. pretty sure you can find them on ebay. i know i found them with a google search. not cheap though, £275 over here.
not had it dyno'd yet. should be next month when my local dynojet centre gets their quad dyno.

terrycable throttle is really good. you can lock the twist part and just use the thumb. there's a button under the housing, push in and it's locked, pull out and it's twisty. the housing is quite a bit bigger than the stock one, but it looks a hell of a lot better and works great.
Admin 02-13-2009, 03:38 PM That is VERY cool, nice quad! I wish we could ride on the streets over here!
Dave01 02-13-2009, 03:48 PM That looks awesome. Must be fun to ride on the streets. We only have a few places that allow it here. I think Arizona does, along with the Hatfield-McCoy trail area.
aschuck 02-13-2009, 03:58 PM Great Thank's

i didn't know you're not allowed to take them on the road over there. it used to be a bit of a grey area over here until those nutters in brussels started to get involved in our laws. one of the only good things they've done!!
i'm still envious of you guys though. you've got so much land you can ride on.
vfm2010 02-14-2009, 01:10 PM what kind of dashboard do you have? Looks like nice large display.

acewell. they do a few different ones. mines a 3000 model iirc. all the standard lights (engine management, neutral, turn signal, oil etc) have been wired in . very neat. also has rev counter too.
vfm2010 02-15-2009, 11:05 PM Sounds Great and the bike looks great too.

mariom131 04-29-2009, 08:00 PM Sweet ride.
baldydaz,
Did you install the gauge pod on your machine? If so, was it a big job installing the sensors and miscellaneous wiring? Sure wish they installed this item at the factory. The manuals talk about maintenance time/hours and etc. but no way to check it. I put on one those simple running time meters and am somewhat satisfied with it. Thanks for the pictures.

you get everything you need with the kit, (it's only a speed sensor) just glue the magnet to the front wheel and follow the instructions. not too sure how the rev counter works, it's not great tbh, but it kinda works. i think everything else is just a rewire of the original dash lights. check out their website
baldydaz,
Will do. Thanks for the info.
