: Should Suzuki build a big bore sport quad?
VelociRaptor 02-22-2009, 03:35 PM Whattaya think?
Based off of this maybe with liquid cooling?

scuzz 02-22-2009, 09:45 PM Air cooled 650....pass.
Liquid cooling and a sra could have some raptor competitiveness.
I'm not crazy about anything Suzuki though. In my mind they are one step above Korean which is one step ahead of Chinese made things. That's just my opinion though....
VelociRaptor 02-23-2009, 05:50 AM Thats what I said with liquid cooling.
vfm2010 02-23-2009, 09:14 AM I really like our DVX400 (LTZ400 in disguise) so I would be interested in seeing what they could do with a something like a LTZ700.
TRipleXX 02-23-2009, 02:18 PM If they based it on the SV/V-strom motor I'd be interested. 645cc Vtwin @70 hp =smile!!
OzLinc 02-26-2009, 05:51 PM LTZ-700...........Coming Soon

VelociRaptor 02-27-2009, 09:49 AM Interesting, is that info from Suzuki or a wish list that someone came up with?
OzLinc 02-27-2009, 11:40 PM It's a little tid bit I picked up from somewhere........I guess only time will tell if it's true.
........got any XX builds with results yet?. We all know it has potential but want to see some dyno numbers.

VelociRaptor 02-28-2009, 07:41 AM I want to see some as well. Ive had plenty of people call me on doing stuff to their XX' but no one wants to tear down because of warranty. The Yamaha guys seem to not to care about warranty near as much as the Honda guys for some reason. Ive had guys buy their Raptors on friday and ship me their cylinder heads on monday after a weekend of teardown.
scuzz 03-01-2009, 09:04 AM It's the 1st year in the production run. (even though the engine has been in production for some time in other platforms)
VelociRaptor 03-01-2009, 02:50 PM Same for the 700 Raptor. Even back in 06 I had plenty of guys send me cylinder heads.
OzLinc 03-01-2009, 04:46 PM The warranty excuse.......I don't get it. What are you going to do? wait for a year.
Stock or Mod, your warranty is only as good as your dealer.
It's a little gutless; they carry on about Honda reliablity but haven't got the guts to back it up.

SNEAKY 06-16-2009, 10:05 PM Air cooled 650....pass.
Liquid cooling and a sra could have some raptor competitiveness.

double_0_xx 06-23-2009, 11:50 AM Bump.. interested in stock HP/TQ of the 700xx...
and FYI, that suzuki 650 rips @ss
logme13 06-24-2009, 05:15 PM go fork out the cash and buy an xx, build it, and dyno it. When all said and done, let us know what the numbers look like..... lol
xx700xx 06-24-2009, 08:57 PM I think it would be awesome for Suzuki to jump into the mix. More competition=new technology and one company trying to out do the other. I think suzuki makes great machines. I've owned a gixxer 750 and boulevard so far and I love them both!
double_0_xx 06-25-2009, 08:18 AM go fork out the cash and buy an xx, build it, and dyno it. When all said and done, let us know what the numbers look like..... lol
? I have an 08 with 20 hours.. I do have access to a dyno.... I just wanted to know if anyone else has dynoed stock.
logme13 06-25-2009, 07:30 PM I was just giving OzLinc and VelociRapter a hard time for giving us a hard time about not wanting to give up our quads do to warranty and prime riding season to do expensive and extensive mods to our already awesome machines. Sorry double o xx, I should have quoted their message in my reply..
Baxter 07-01-2009, 08:41 PM I bought my T-ReX because it is a HONDA. I would not buy or race another breed because Honda's are bulletproof. The only Suzuki I would consider is the LTZ400 but it under powered and expensive to buy.Hey that's my 2 cents worth living in the UK.
Baxter 07-01-2009, 08:43 PM By the way my T-Rex comes with a 2 warranty , which I have 14 months left which go go out the window in 7 days time.
Red700xx 10-05-2009, 05:26 PM ya tht 650 suzuki motor is outdated they would redisign it or take it from another bigger bike or quad
xx-rated 10-13-2009, 06:52 PM I'm voting for a Raptor with IRS myself...
09RappySE 10-14-2009, 08:39 AM I'm voting for a Raptor with IRS myself...
good luck with that....don't see it happening.
Red700xx 10-14-2009, 11:01 AM def not between the weight and the bad reviews the 700xx got, that wont b happening for a while
xx-rated 10-14-2009, 01:30 PM I hate to keep saying it, but I don't think you will even see an XX on 2011. I keep saying it so I will be wrong!!
Red700xx 10-15-2009, 10:35 AM hopefully
Loneranger 10-18-2009, 05:40 PM I do not know . If I know Honda each model is a 3 year run.
vfm2010 10-28-2009, 01:41 PM The Honda Fat Cat was a one year model.
willrideanything 03-06-2010, 09:12 AM I would be looking into it alot harder then the XX. Real world feel says it all though. Ill ride anything if its makes me grin, and whoops a$$.
