Went for a ride today and my buddy took his new Renegade XC. I was impressed! Lots of power for a 4wd, the power steering is awesome, the engine braking was very nice, and the shock were kick ass as well. I do think that it weighs quite a bit more than the published weight though. The only thing that I didn't like was the $$$$, wow! But you start looking at all the extras that you would eventually buy and it is a good deal if you were going to make all the additions that the XC comes with. It is a sweet ride!!!!

I just rode it for 5-10 minutes. Our ride got cut short due to rain. We did have a chance to run them 5-6 times on the road.

No, sorry I had to make a last minute run for fireworks and didn't have a chance to go into the details. Every time we ran it was pretty much even till 70mph then the XX would start to pull away. I am 120lbs heavier than him and we didn't get a chance to switch bikes before the rain. Had the 13T on.
But it would def haul major ass for a 4x4!!!!

Lots of power, nice fit n finish, but I didnt like how unstable it was in off camber AND down hill rock sections. Nice plush seat too, but kinda on the wide side.

I had my Renegade since Nov. 07 I just sold it about a month ago. At the time I was riding an 03 KFX400 which I loved but had to have the rnegade when I saw it. the renegade is a great machine. Fast, powerfull and four wheel drive. I bought just about every accessory for it and kept it in pristine condition. the problen was that over the years it felt more and more like a fast utilty quad. That's basicaly what it was. If you stripped the plastics down off a renegade and an outlander 800, they are pretty much the same. This was the reason I was on a quest for a 700XX. It's a heck of a lot sportier although I will probably miss the 4x4. So far since I have the XX, I don't miss my renengade. If I ever need another 4x4 I can always pick up a decent used outlander pretty cheap. I can't understand the pricing of Can-am I thought paying $8500 for mine back in 07 was crazy. Now they are listing for upwards near $13K What are those canadians thinking...lol

We ride uk lanes, rocks, ruts, slippy chalk etc..
Now off road the renegade is faster as it seems far more easier for them to go fast without loosing control or putting any effort in..
On road though, my trx and a stock raptor take the renegade out around 45-50 mph and pass them without to much trouble .
We have a new 1000cc joining us next week so once its run in will be interesting to see how much quicker it is.
