I had a couple blasters as a teen, then a 400 two smoke scrambler. I rode street bikes for years but due to a job change I decided to go back to ATVs and ended up on the xx.

As far as my street bikes I've had 3 GSXR 1000's ('02, '04, 07), CBR 1000 ('03) , and a Ducati 1098s ('08). ATV's a 2005 Recon 250, 2008 400EX and 2008 700xx. Dirt bikes Yamaha YZ250, and a Honda CRF450.

I rode a 400ex with yosh slip on, weisco 11:1, Hot cam st. 1, ishock 5500, and works quadstar rear. Great machine! Heres a cub scout show I did with some friends, I hit that jump for the first time 1 week prior. I did free style for 1 month before I decided it was too risky.

Started out on a Warrior 350, it was a good machine to learn on, but quickly wanted more after trying a buddy's Z400. So I got a Z400 and kept it 3.5 years. That was a fun quad, but it was getting tired and I didn't want to go into the motor. Then bought the Raptor 700 and thought it was the best thing around, until I discovered the 700XX. Gotta love hobbies:lol:!

1982 Kawasaki KLT200, 1984 Honda ATC200X, 1986 Honda ATC250R, 1993 Yamaha Blaster, 1999 Yamaha Banshee, 2003 Cannondale Cannibal, 2004 Kawasaki KFX700, 2007 Kawasaki Brute Force 650, 2007 Honda Rancher 420TE, and now I have added the 700XX to the list. The only one I still own other than the 700XX is the Rancher.

Way better machine than the Kawi in every which way. As for the Renegade it's hard. The Gade is way quicker off the line. 700xx has it mid to top. The 700xx is a bit more fun with jumping and wheelies. The ride and handling is better on the Gade regardless of the difference in weight. My shocks are rezzies and are setup up perfect though. They're 2 different machines and hard to compare. If I was only able to have one quad, I'd pick the Gade. It's the best all around quad built. imo. The 700xx is the best sporty for my riding style. If that makes sense.lol The 2up 800r Limited is a cruiser and excellent for long trips.

Interesting, the Renegade is a good looking quad. It definitely looks bulky but I'm sure its comfortable to ride. I bet if I were older I would probably choose the Renegade.

Probably couldn't handle it being older. I'm 33 and weigh 160lbs. It's not as comfy as a Ute, just more comfy than the XX. It's just a brute power machine that gets addicting. The VTwin sound, is just nuts.

You're crazy with the Grizzly 700. We have 2 08's in the family and they're the two biggest POS bikes. Ergonomics are horrible.Stall all the time. 3 axles in one, 2 in the other. Won't start in the cold. Worst handling bike out there with the power steering.

Yeah, the Gade sounds freakin' awesome, especially with a pipe on it. Thing sounds like a V8.
I rode one for a bit, it was like riding a Clysdale to me. I was on a Raptor at the time, and that thing is a beast to hold onto. It seemed huge, but I had just jumped off of my Raptor and onto it. I'm about 210 lbs too, and not a fat 210 either, so when they tell you that the Renegade is not for beginners, they aren't kidding. That sucker almost had too much power for its' own good. But I think that I would really like one if I rode it for a whole weekend. I think that will probably be my next quad. I was considering one before the XX came to fruition. I wish Yamaha and Honda would build a quad like that.

Sounds like someone got a lemon? I have a few friends that have the Grizzly 700 and have no problems with them at all. Cold weather starting happens with any brand. It's not made to handle great. It is after all a full utility. Three axles in a year sounds like either improper maintainence, neglect, or abuse to me.

Not lemons at all. Just POS's. The Grizzly forums are full of these exact problems. Yamaha acknowledged the stalling issue and weak axles, wouldn't put out a recall and covered them under warranty for the 6 months. After the warranty was up, we were told we're on our own now. It's not made to handle great? It don't handle at all. Regardless of what bike it is and the speeds they go, it should handle some what decent. Every other ATV does. Cold weather starting isn't with every other brand either like these things. -5 and they won't start. All my bikes start in -40 up here. Our 04 Yamaha Kodiak has 38000 miles on it and starts in the -40. KFX700 has 31k and starts too. Here's a -40 day and the Grizz needed heat to start. Is that all you did was 2200 in 15 months? I have 17000 on my Gade and it's 13 months old. My 700xx has around 5500.

early 80's ATC 110, ATC 200M, XR200..

About 3 years ago I got into street and rebuilt and 87 VFR FII (the white one). Was a lot of fun.

Last winter I built a national 300ex (which I just sold) and put a deposit down on the 700xx.

I want this to last a very long time, thats why I bumped up so high in the engine/quad size.

I was always the poor kid that had to ride other ppl's quads. Then I had a chinese quad given to me. It had a broken swingarm, but was free. Turned out it didn't run either, but I got it running, welded the swingarm, called up some buddies, said lets go. We get out there and i find out it's got tranny problems too (jumps out of first and reverse) I get up and over the first hill, then halfway up the second. Jumps out of first, doesn't have the power to make it in second. Lucky for me my friend had brought his nephew's 700xx as a backup, so I got to ride it...........well, I own one now!

Road bikes...well just had too many of them and the one that I wish that was still around; 77 Yamaha 400RC, think that's the model, the bike was quick for racing which I used to do allot in Vegas until I hit a granny not stopping at an intersection and learned how to fly, front end of the bike was total so I got rid of but should have kept that engine, think that's the same engine they have in the Banshee.

well, I started at an unknown age on an rm80,Then for my 13th b-day I got an rm125,after making junk out of 3 of those I got a brand new 1984 honda fourtrax250,I was the envy of every kid in school. It was the first Quad in the area. After 15 years on my 250 I bought a 250ex, then another 250ex, then a 2004 400ex. now I bought my wife a leftover 2007 250ex and myself, a leftover 2008 700xx. In case you haven't noticed, I preffer HONDA atv's.but, I still haven't found another as tough as that ol' fourtrax

I grew up on the little atv's my dad had for ATV safety training,
Trizinger 60, TRX70 and LT80. He currently still has his 1987 LT500 that is mostly stock and not ridden very much anymore.

My dad got a 300EX for safety training for about 1 1/2 years. That's how I learned to ride a manual clutch.
I had a 1987 Quadsport LT230 for a week.
2000 Honda 400EX
2003 Suzuki LTZ400
2004 Suzuki LTZ455 (October 2004 ATV sport Max Power quad)
2004 Suzuki LTZ400 (bought in January of 06 as a leftover for $3500 OTD with Rath bumper, nerfs and grab bar)
2004 LTZ450 (was Johnny Gallagher's old GT Thunder 450 stroker, I bought it for the Lonestar/Axis suspension to put on the Max Power quad)
2006 LTR450 (converted to XC racer but could only get the front end down to 46.5" wide and the turning radius sucked)
2008 TRX700XX just purchased last week.

Its funny to think how many girls use to want to be my friend back then because I hung out with all the cool hot guys and rode every day after school and most weekends with them! My favorite was I rolled a cheerleader off the back down this hill...she was fine but she hooked up with the HS boy she was wanting...need to find some real pictures from back then!(I didn't play well with others back then unless they had a toy)

And DaGirl, people wanted to be my friend b/c I had toys growing up, which I bought on my own (started working on farms including my parents at 6, and saved every penny I got) but I seldom let them ride them. I was too overprotective of my toys (and besides, most of them had parents that would buy them stuff)

I had a 2004 YFZ 450. It was my first quad and I bought it last year in July. Well it didnt take long to figure out that I like the trails more than the track and as it turns out not having reverse SUCKS in trails! It was between a Raptor or the 700xx. I think I made the right choice!

I just cant wait to finally get it in some dirt! I just bought it in Dec so only sliding around in the snow so far, but I love the clearance.

I rode a 2004 DVX 434 that was built pretty good with lotsa bolt on doo dads. I could run with 450s np, But then I lost the head gasket. I part stuff out for a living, SO it went under the knife. I had +2 arms and a few other things on it.

Befor that I had a 2002 Raptor 660 that was stock unless something broke or failed. Axle, arms, plastics, starter clutch and a few other had been replaced, Then in the end it was. What junk that was. I hate to say it, Here more then ever, But the Raptor 700 was the best thing Yami did over the 660.

I have also run 2 Predators, a Rappy 700, a 300Ex, and a few trikes in the mean time, But non stuck around. Just perks of my job.

Yes, when I get a chance. The 250sx gets ridden quite a bit in the summer, just puttin around the neighborhood. The 250R has a blown base gasket right now. Only take about 2 hours to change, but hard to take the time to fix with a 700xx to ride with an electric start, reverse, IRS, and a front end that will somewhat stay down. The 250R is a blast to ride though!

My XX is my first one owned, but I always had access to many makes thanks to my friends changing likes and dislikes. Rode blasters, a built banshee, too many Polaris to count, a Yamaha Timberwolf2x4. Honda 300 4x4 is what i cut my teeth on around the back 40 at my grandparents farm when i was in my early teens. Always wanted a 400ex or banshee. I had a nice sampling so far in life but had to choose wisely on my XX because the wife said i could only buy one. I made a wise choice.

What made you decide to get the 700xx over the raptor 700. Just curious with all that blue in your family tree

Yeah I miss that quad it was the one I could always jump on and just abuse and it never complained. All my new toys are to expensive and sometimes I find myself waiting for special occasions to really ride them

The IRS and the Honda quality. My Raptor kept breaking down (minor things), and it got so bad that we would anticipate it and just laugh about it. The 660 was a beast though, but Honda is just quality, hence the 700xx.

I'm very impressed so far, but I was close to picking a Raptor 700r. I got the 1/2 off deal too, so buying a new quad over a used one was a nice factor as well.

Haha yea that was my first quad when I was like 12, thinking back now, I'm surprised my dad let me ride it since I couldn't have been over 100lbs and it's a huge machine. Then I got into dirtbikes and bought my friends KTM and had it for 6 months and didn't like it. I nearly got the kfx450 or outlaw 525irs but decided on the xx and I'm very happy with my decision.

Wanted a quad or dirtbike for as long as I can remember. Parents never would get me one becuse no where to ride. Last year for my 21st bday gift to myself, the weather man was calling for snow so I called a quad store while on my lunch break at work. They ran my credit and when I got off I drove out and bought my 700xx. Got the 3800 deal.

I had a 06 Outlander 400. The plastic was stupidly brittle, I broke a fender without hitting anything or even rolling it... it just broke

Finally got sick of it, and wasn't going to pay $1100 for two fenders, so I sold it and upgraded

EDIT: Before that I hadn't ridden in 10 or more years, and had a Kawasaki 90 (I think) dirt bike

Hmmm, that surprises me. My '08 Outlander has bulletproof plastics as far as I can tell. My Big Bear rips plastics like a hobby, but my Can-Am has been every sorts of sideways with just a bunch of scratches to show for it. Well, that and a perpetually broken tail light. Some smartass chose style over protection, so anything running into the rear busts the tail light.

My last sport quad was a 2004 Suzuki Z400 that I sold earlier this year to pay off my street bike. Then, I turned around a traded the street bike for the XX a few weeks ago. I also have a 2007 Honda Rincon for the mud/snow/ girlfriend to ride on.
