ODI "Rogue" Lock-on grips

The plastic piece that houses the indicator lights makes this look like a factory application rather than aftermarket. I actually dropped one of the lenses down in the opening for the steering stem and it landed in the fan housing. Fishing that out of there was the most difficult aspect of the install.

All cleaned up and still looking sharp!

posterboy12 03-15-2009, 07:41 PM Have you even ridden that yet?? It is too clean :)
Fill me in on these grips that you have...I like the looks of them.
Thanks
Chrisj 03-15-2009, 10:21 PM Can you get a good front shot of that bumper?

They are great, I have been using them for several years now. The have billet retainers that lock the grips to the handlebars and guarantee no slip. Rocky Mountain has them in three different patterns.

It's included with the Trail Tech riser. Awesome quality piece if you want to get 1 1/8" fatbars.

vfm2010 03-16-2009, 06:26 PM That is a sweet handle bar setup, how does it compare to the stock height.
smo0oth1 03-16-2009, 11:07 PM I like the look of those, Does it change the riding position?
Killer_Shee 03-17-2009, 06:53 AM I like the look of those, Does it change the riding position?
The overall setup is about an inch or so taller, and the bars don't have quite as much pullback as stock bars. The bars are a ATV high bend, but I am 6' 2" and wanted a taller setup with less pullback. If you go with a ATV mid bend it would probably be real close to stock height and an ATV low bend would be a hair shorter.
scuzz 03-17-2009, 08:28 AM Hmmm.
Sounds like the exact setup that I want. I'm 6'6" and need higher bars as well as less sweep. Anytime you get new bars they fell odd because of them being the only change on your quad. Those bars will also help you with the technical stuff because you normally have to lean on the bars which mean you could most likely hit the starter/kill switch.
I like them because they are purdy too.

I just ordered that same bumper but not black. That black looks really good, but from my trail experiences, anything powder coated would look like crap after a year. I've got the Pro Armor nerfs too, so they'll match. I also have that Trail Tech clamp on mine with a set of EVO bars. That was the first mod I did. I like that setup much better than those stock tri-cycle bars! Nice looking quad!
Colorado 700XX 03-29-2009, 02:33 PM Hey Killer,
You said that the risers comes with the holder for the neutral, oil, and temp lights. I just wanted to verify that. I'm thinking about ordering the riser but when I look it up on RockymountainATV it doesn't list or mention the holder for the lights.
Thanks,
Robert

Yep, it all comes together. Rocky Mountain is also where I ordered mine from.
Colorado 700XX 04-02-2009, 01:11 PM I liked the look of your tusk bars and grip, trail tech risers, and the grip that I ordered the exact same setup from Rocky Mountain yesterday. Sorry to be a copycat (I got a red cap instead of black) but that's the exact setup I was looking for. Thanks for posting the pictures and info, it was a big help.
scuzz 04-02-2009, 04:22 PM I'll be ordering the same, well my kids will (hopefully) for Father's day.

Don't hope they get it right ...buy it for them, stick their names on it and say Thank You. Your Wife might even appreciate the fact that she didn't have to worry about it.:hey:
scuzz 04-03-2009, 10:09 AM Ha! No, my wife thinks it takes the fun out of gift buying for me.
(I've done this a LOT)
Colorado 700XX 04-06-2009, 05:34 PM Hey Killer Shee,
One question about the install of the trail tech risers. The instruction call for you to either cut off the welded on tabs or to modify the trail tech cover to fit over them. Did you cut the tabs or modify the cover?
xx-rated 04-06-2009, 05:43 PM You didn't ask me, but I modified the cover on mine, but I know some people snapped off the clips. I just didn't want to break those off and have the cables dangling out there.
Colorado 700XX 04-06-2009, 06:02 PM Thanks double XX. I think I'll modify the cover on mine. I feel a lot better about cutting plastic than cutting metal on my nice 700XX...not to mention keeping the cables secure.
posterboy12 04-06-2009, 07:24 PM I also cut my plastic and bent the cable retainers just right so that you cab still use them. It worked great and looks good.
Killer_Shee 04-06-2009, 08:07 PM It looks like I am in the minority here, but I removed the tabs from the stem. I just filed them smooth after twisting them off with Vise-Grips and shot them with some black paint to prevent rust. I plan on upgrading to stainless lines soon, so I didn't need the brake line guide anyway. There are line/cable guides down on the steering stem hoop on the frame anyway.
08700xx 04-06-2009, 08:10 PM I cut the tabs off on mine.
Chrisj 04-06-2009, 10:55 PM I used the Vise Grips. Ripped them right off.
scuzz 04-06-2009, 11:42 PM Guys,
What are you talking about? Mind taking a picture?
08700xx 04-07-2009, 12:06 AM you have to remove these clips or cut the plastic cover so it will fit. Sorry the pics are not the good.

De700 07-15-2009, 12:11 PM After installing the trail tech clamp with plastic light cover with Pro Taper Contour Raptor bends I relaized that the brank line was a bit snug and so were the cables when you turned. I contacted Trail Tech and they advised that a few people have had bigger bars then they should have had and it will over time wear the lines out. They suggested switching to a lower bend style bar. Anyone have this problem
jamie007 02-25-2010, 12:52 AM I just ordered the trail tech clamp and the cover it came with has 1 hole for the key and 3 for lights? The box says 700xx but there is no way this would work unless I removed a light and moved my key:nuts: but even on trailtech website it shows this is the dash for the 700xx. I think this cover is actually for a 450r.

Am I missing something? going to have to call Rocky mount tomorrow.
blkcruzer 02-25-2010, 01:09 AM I thought the same thing, but there is a bushing to go in that hole that makes it the same size as the other 3 little holes, I remember it was in the bottom of the plastic bag it came in, hopefully you didnt throw it out!!

Gotcha! I was thinking something like that, but I still have all of the packing and no bushing. Gonna have to make a call tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!
