: Douglas Wheels
xx-rated 09-11-2008, 03:47 PM I emailed Douglas about them making an 11" rim for the XX. They have them available and are working on more options, including a 12-inch rim that will fit. Here's the response to my inquiry:
Part No.: 011-47
Description: 11X7 (5B+2) 4/144 .190
Retail: $112.44ea
*we are also in the process of making a 12" diameter wheel to fit as
well and a 11" .190 beadlock is in the works as well.

A little pricey, but hey...
KTM265 09-12-2008, 09:57 AM Nice job... Price will come down as more rim options become available... They have to cover their R&D costs.
xx-rated 09-12-2008, 01:24 PM I don't really see the point in the 12-inch rim. It will be useless unless you are going to run taller tires than the stock 22's. I sure wouldn't want to raise the XX any higher than it is.
KTM265 09-12-2008, 02:51 PM I can see a need for it...those wanting to run 24 tires for more clearance. I have seen that on other models.
Admin 09-12-2008, 03:22 PM Good news, although a bit pricey for sure. I'd just leave the stockers on there for a while.

If you need that much clearance, you should be riding a ute! Yeah, it's only an inch more in ride height, but that would seriously effect the handling....in a bad way.
streetx 09-13-2008, 03:23 PM :hey:I would love to get some 12" ore 14" wheels with low profile street tires.
My xx is stil in Italy where it will be rebuilt for road legal use in europe.
Got an e-mail today that said the xx is allmost ready to ship.
Road use realy weres cross-tires down. So lots of us have 2 sets of wheels.
The spelling? I know I know:ohno:
Admin 09-13-2008, 04:54 PM What bolt pattern does the XX use in front and back? The standard Honda pattern? 12" rims should be no problem getting right now.
scuzz 09-13-2008, 10:03 PM What bolt pattern does the XX use in front and back? The standard Honda pattern? 12" rims should be no problem getting right now.
The front and back are the same at 144 mm. (the 400EX, 450r as well as a LOT of other brands (400cc mainly) use 144 mm bolt patterns in the front.

If you're racing in the Enduro...12 Hours of ATV America, or the new 10 Hour race they are planning in Iowa the ruts can be pretty nasty... That extra inch is nice when you see all the chain drive/solid axles hangning up on their sprockets and disc brakes. If you're not racing it's probably overkill unless you like the looks or have need for it in your local riding area.

Admin 10-01-2008, 10:59 PM Dude that is so BAD ASS!
Great looking XX!
trailin'me 10-01-2008, 11:49 PM those tires are kick ass ... this thing has so much balls i can hammer down the throttle and spin in circles over and over and over.
Actually ..it hooks up beyond belief really.... i really am impressed ... i just wish it was a bit less expensive so everyone could enjoy what im experiencing with it now.
i let my neighbor ride it ... hes sold ..and hes a die hard yamaha fanboy.
partyboy424 10-02-2008, 08:42 AM Wow man, that looks awesome
xx-rated 10-02-2008, 09:04 AM Damn that's nice! I'd have to spend the kids college fund to outfit mine like that!! Do you know how long before Maxxis releases that Razr to us regular folk?
trailin'me 10-02-2008, 01:36 PM ive heard late october early november ..but who knows for sure. Im working on my "source" to donate a set or 2 to the cause. ill keep yall informed if i get my hands on another set before then.

wilson700xx 10-04-2008, 10:16 PM quick question are u running a power commander on that also with that fmf exhaust
trailin'me 10-04-2008, 11:43 PM yes ..am running a power commander. the map i used was the baffle removed with airbox removed .... and added +7 to the entire map except position 0. Unfortunately ..there are no dynos close to me with 2 barrels ... so hopefully someone with the same setup will run theirs and share the map.
wilson700xx 10-05-2008, 08:37 AM how does your plug look i dont have my pipe on yet suppose to be here tuesday and right now i got it set for +4
trailin'me 10-05-2008, 07:04 PM how does your plug look i dont have my pipe on yet suppose to be here tuesday and right now i got it set for +4
plug? do you mean for the power commander>? Or do you mean for the exhaust header?
wilson700xx 10-06-2008, 02:11 AM I'm sorry I meant by plug how does the spark plug look on +7. Would u be able send me that power commander map in .pdf format?
wilson700xx 10-06-2008, 12:19 PM k i love those rims so much i gave that bones guy a call well when i called he was talking to a customer so just waiting for him to call me back
trailin'me 10-06-2008, 06:44 PM hell take care of you dood. I havent even looked at the plug honestly ... and running 110 octane fuel .... doesnt smell rich ..and it isnt hot ..so i suspect the map is ballparked in the right spot.... no backfires ... no knocking ... easy to start ..idles good... actually the machine isnt even hot after dogfking the shyt out of it.
wilson700xx 10-07-2008, 09:44 PM ok lol well i just got the full fmf exhaust put on and i havnt stepped it up and im getting backfire a +4 and im running on 93 octane oh i called bones up but im trying to get the company i order from to call OMF rims so i'll se how that go. what kinda 110 fuel u running
trailin'me 10-07-2008, 11:38 PM http://www.powercommander.com/downloads/133/maps/m133-002.exe
you want that map ...make sure you zero/1 out the throttle position first ... while running ... upload that map .. and add 7 pts to EVERYTHING on the map except the first throttle postion.
If you dont have a filter yet ... get a UNI to start with ... very easy to install... and 35 bucks or something.
those backfires will disappear quickly ... you might have an occasional one.
the 110 fuel is right from a pump down the road from my home next to Gateway Speedway (st. louis race track)...
i was running VP fuel ... ran just as good... but the 110 is 5.99/gallon compared to about 10 for the vp.
trailin'me 10-07-2008, 11:44 PM ok lol well i just got the full fmf exhaust put on and i havnt stepped it up and im getting backfire a +4 and im running on 93 octane oh i called bones up but im trying to get the company i order from to call OMF rims so i'll se how that go. what kinda 110 fuel u running
if you plan on putting a long travel front .. make sure you have OMF or whomever you order them from/through include 2 sets of shims (which will add 1" additional width to your rear. Of course ..if you dont plan on putting long travels on the front ..then you really dont need the shims.
Also ..for the time being ..its TOTALLY worth putting some razr2's on the front while awaiting the rears. Believe me ..the difference in steering response is unbelievable.
Dave01 10-18-2008, 02:24 AM ive heard late october early november ..but who knows for sure. Im working on my "source" to donate a set or 2 to the cause. ill keep yall informed if i get my hands on another set before then.
Man, its killing me waiting on some of these tires. I hated mounting the stockers on the OMF's but after waiting a month, I gave in. Any recent news on when all of us regular type folks can get some...LOL
TRX700RR 10-25-2008, 06:38 PM Hope not too long! I need some now!!
xx-rated 10-27-2008, 10:25 AM Yeah, the stockers suck for sure. I went on a 3 day trip last weekend and I punched a hole in my sidewall on one of my fronts on my first ride, then one of the rears on my last ride! Those stock tires do not like rocks!
TRX700RR 10-27-2008, 11:52 AM I raced the T-Rex in a 6 hour XC and didn't get a flat on stock tyres, but a outlaw 525 got 3!
Went trail riding last weekend tho and put a tiny hole in the rear sidewall! Had to put some Maxxis stockers off the TRX420FM Farm Quad- 24x10x11, bit big but work OK??
