what all has to be done to use this piston ? would the electric stator still work ?

after the mod is done what will be its advantages ? and lastly is the mod a reliable mod ? i was told at a local store once you start changing cams and all that your reliablity starts to go to sh*t

Definately not true on durability, 11:1 is just as durable as the stock "10:1"
The starter would probably be fine with 14:1 much less 11:1. The gain in power from going from 10:1 to 11:1 is 3%, swapping the piston is pretty easy.

That's about 6 more ponies for less than the price of an aftermarket exhaust that will net you about the same.
Lets say your XX has 46whp, wouldn't that mean your gain of 3% would only be 1.38hp? I don't see where 6hp is coming from. Another thing, if you're upgrading the piston wouldn't you need to go aftermarket with the exhaust anyways. I would imagine that would be the best route. I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to figure these numbers out.

Yea.... I thought the same thing. 3% gain that gives you 6hp would mean that your bike already had 200hp before the upgrade. One of the two numbers aren't correct.

No one really does just a piston swap(or they shouldnt anyway). Going 1 point in compression isnt worth it to me either unless your wanting to stay pump gas and the engine is going to be torn down anyways for other upgrades. The 700 Raptor is "9.2:1" so 11:1 is more worth it than going from "10:1" to 11:1, each point you go up you gain roughly 3% in power.

ok so iam guessing the piston mod is stupid
If you have time and money to spare I'd say go for it but not without other supporting mods. I'd definitely already have the big 3 along with it. I just dont think the 3% gain is all that worth it. If you were to go from bone stock to a built motor with cam and big 3, that machine would be sick!!! Thats a whole lotta cash though!

Not stupid, it just needs to work in concert with other mods, your next logical step would the heads/valves. Doing just the piston and nothing else while you have it all apart, that might be stupid.

With Raptor guys I always tell em when they ask that you get about 3hp from a piston, 3hp from a midsize cam and 3hp from a stage 1-2 port. Combined together you get 10hp or better because each is complementing the other. Put more compression, .480"+ lift cam and stage 2-3 port and get another 10hp.
