New lowered price. If it does not sell at this price I am keeping it for the time being.

Bought brand new from the dealer in October 2010.

Only ridden at 3 grand prix races (~45 minutes each), two team races totaling ~2.75 hours, and 1 practice (~ 30 minutes) which is ~5.5 hours since new. I’ve changed the oil three times as well.

Parts Investment Total (see below) = ~$6,500 which is significantly more than the asking price that does not count the cost of the quad which equals nearly $11,000 as a total investment.

The bike is in great shape, has never been wrecked, and I’m only selling it because I’m not using it as much as I would have liked as Desert racing has slowed down for me since I’m focusing on MX, and I just bought a third bike so this must go. More pictures available upon request.

Asking $5,200

Title in hand

no reserve but opening bid is a mutha..

Thanks for the comments and for posting the link but I don't fully understand your other comment above. Most "close to stock" bikes with more hours I've seen are going for $4,300 - $4,800. I've got $6,500 of parts on mine for a total investment of ~$11,000 and I'm starting bidding at just over that.

Check out the other 700xx's on Ebay and the others on here to see what I'm referencing.....

Thanks again.

Not sure either about which comment you meant. Probably about opening bid, I'd have a reserve and lower the opening, but that’s just me. I'm not saying yours isn’t worth the asking price. As you have dbl that into it if not more, and I hope you get a few interested buyers, that lock into a bidding war. But I have seen nice quads with mods for low 4k. I'll pm you 1 for example.

The one that you sent says "over $8k invested" so for ease of calculation let's say he invested $8,400 where he's asking $4,200. That's a 50% ratio which is exactly the same as my initial starting price (which has now been lowered) versus what I have invested in mine as you noted so I still don't fully understand your point. Sure, the one you PM'd me is cheaper in price but obviously has less put in it.

As far as Ebay logistics go I thought about what you mentioned but on a 7-day listing in this market I assumed there would not be enough bidders to justify a low starting price and a subsequent bidding war. My past experience has been that in that case you just get a bunch of low bids that never reach the reserve so I just decided to start the bidding at my reserve and if I get any takers it's a done deal. In the end, it's not a huge deal because after this auction closes I'm probably not going to list on Ebay any more. Ebay considers me a "high volume" seller so I get tagged extra insertion fees now.

Thanks again for the feedback.
