the tires did awesome. i love them :yay:

but i wont drag race anybody upa hill with them again. theres just not enough traction... mind you everybody i dragged uphill with was runnin a 12 or 14 paddle extreme taller hauler... which is a shaved down 1lb version of the standard hauler. i will be going to a 13t (maybe a 12t) the next time i hit the sand dunes and i will be getting some 14 paddle extreme haulers just for dragging :lmao:

i bumped into a family of 700r's and one of the guys had an extra set of v-blades... after he rolled me with the haulers on he went and put his v blades on and we went again... i got him by a 1/2 bike. but he got me by way more than i care to admit with the hauler. he was also runnin a 13t front. his buddy was runnin a heavily built 700r dual exhaust, st2 hot cam, port, blah blah... i couldnt touch him. i could jump some banshees off the line but 1/2 way thru 3rd they were blowin by me.

seemed like everyone i talked to said if you want to win a hill climb race get a 14 paddle extreme hauler. fortunately, i like watchin drags more than i like to drag race... at the dunes anyway.

but the edge blade was awesome! i loaded the really rich map dave01 is using and it pulled the wheels up in 2nd and 3rd without effort... also, scuzz you mentioned you tried this map and it blackened ur plug. i pulled my original plug that i was using the xxslipon map with and it was a perfect tan color. i put a new plug in when i loaded daves map and rode it hard for 2 days (3 1/2 tanks) and i noticed a couple things... first, fuel mileage goes to crap, but 2nd when i pulled the plug it was not black, it was more of a dark cardboard color... dave mentioned to me he set the map that way cause he is at 0 sea level and lots of humidity, so maybe that has something to do with it. i think i might keep runnin daves map but i'm gonna try and lean it out from 3000rpm down, i could tell ridin slow in a few trails there was too much fuel at low rpm and low speed. but maybe just a 13t will take care of that issue too.

anyway ya... love the edge. its perfect for my ridin style. it did everything i asked it too and it didnt cry  i never dug a hole and i never had to get off and yank it back on the trail.

I will be in north bend (horse fall)this fri, sat, and sunday for a batchalor party. and some time in july for an adult ride with about 5 buds. And the same bolt was loose on my 700 also.

ya there still lots of fun. they changed the south jetty parking lot so you have to enter the sand on one end or the other.no more turning off the road and head right up the big hill through the lot. and what what/is comp hill keeps moving around out there

Just interested Tomkat. Where do you live in OR. I live in Stayton.

Nice pics tho. I have never been to Sand Lake, I've heard it is really small. I have rode at Coos Bay and Florence. Most of the time I am in the Mountains.

Come over to the east side, there is some great riding at Morrow County and in the Winom-Frazier district. Where do you normally ride?
