For those who were asking bout a rear rack for the 700xx, found them today at http://www.fuse-powersports.com/ I think they are $129.99 + shipping. Phone # 763-689-4800
My concern with a rack that big and, if you notice, high as well, would be in upsetting the weight balance of the quad. I think we need to remember that the 700xx is not a UTV and adding a big rack to the back only gives us temptation to put everything back there... keg of beer? Why not, we have room. Tempting us to use the added room on a large rack would also be tempting us to add weight to an already heavy quad... in a bad position. JMOWow! That's a big rack. Be nice for hunting!
i hated the look of this rack but now im going to buy one you think there is room for the co2 tank as well??adding a big rack to the back only gives us temptation to put everything back there... keg of beer? Why not, we have room.
Hell yes, but I'd sling it across the front of the quad to help with the upset balance.i hated the look of this rack but now im going to buy one you think there is room for the co2 tank as well??
No worries. I am already set to try it out. If push comes to shove and I don't (or my gf doesn't) like the way it comes out, I will fab one at work to be just a backrest. I need to find a way to keep my son secure on the back with her. She didn't want a 2-up ute so I have to get creative...I'd like to see one installed with a nice fit & finish. Not saying it can't be done but it would seem to me a bit unsuitable for the XX. Don't take what I say personal, We all have different needs and I'm not looking to discourage you.
That is a PRM rack.I am going to add a rack like this for a small tank of gas for my gas-aholic YZ and for a small padded (and completely removable) backrest to help keep my 6-year old son on the bike with my GF when we go for family rides. I like this one better than the PRM one:
