Nikki, it all depends on what you want to do. If you search for cheap cruises, you can usually find good deals. best thing to do though IMO is to find one that goes to ports, and atleast a 5 day one, b/c then you usually get the best bang for your buck. I have been on several, to the carribbean, bahamas, alaska, med, and even on a 363 foot long black can called a submarine around the world. Anyway, each one has its pros and cons (except the sub, that is all CONS). I really enjoy sightseeing and stuff, so I like the ones that stop in more. But for an adventorous gal like you, you may want to find one that has waterslides, the stuff you mentioned, and even jet skiing that you can do right from the boat or port. Scuba diving or snorkeling (depending on your certs). Also, for your husband that isn't as adventorous, some cruise lines offer swim up bars and everything else that are nice for soemone that just wants to lounge around.

Have been on a few and they are fun but I would stay with Royal Carribean, to me they are the best!! Went with NCL one year and they suck, service was slow and their personnel were not as friendly as RCL. Even my friend whom has been on more cruises prefers RCL.

We are doing a cruise next year, perhaps you and Mike could join us. So far there are some friends and kids from CA and PA going.
