The article got the stock compression ratio wrong and no dyno numbers. Still in all glad to see more interest in the XX from the aftermarket.

I also just received the ATV Action July 2010 edition. I was happy to see the article for this in regards to the TRX700XX. I was a bit agrivated when I recently read an article about Matlock Racing winning a race and they talked all about the team and the race, but did not even acknowlege he won on an XX. Anyways...if you read the article it adds up to like over $2000 for all the stuff they did. Just the Thumper parts total up to about $639. I guess this is ok if you're going big! 41cc of extra displacement is expensive! But on the good side, no new sleeve or case machining is required.

yea i also read the article and thouht that stock compression was around 10.5 maybe i'm wrong!?!?! Sounds sweet but a little to rich for my blood/

On the 700 Raptor the +8 crank fits right in the cases without modding and 105.5 bore as well. Thats why the 797/804 builds are so popular, the 771/777 is popular because of the price of the +5 Hotrods crank.

i wonder whats the biggest crank u can put in the xx without modin the case
