Can anyone tell me if my motor will start if i have a stage 3 hot cam, and remove the auto decompression mechanism. I opened the valve cover and noticed that the de-comp was very loose and wobbly. Are they supposed to be tight? I am not sure what i should do, install it on my new cam or go without it? the current cam that is in the motor is a stage 2.
Seems like it is difficult for the starter to crank over the engine to start up, as if the de-comp is not doing its job. If that is the case, and the motor did crank up; maybe i can go without the de-comp?
Can someone assist me? i do not want to have to open up the motor over and over again.
