Well I finally got to use my new exhaust. I bought my barkers back in the winter and waited till the spring to put it on. I went to put it on and whatta ya know I'm one of 2 people who got a bad fitting pipe :steamed:So today I finally got my new one and it fit perfect. Big thanks to Eric at EHS for all his help and support throughout the ordeal.

The power gain is awesome, I run 14 tooth because I have big wide open roads to open her up, that being said this pipe has made lower gears so much more manageable on the trails. I only weigh 155 pounds so this has helped my wheelies a lot. 4th gear is sooooo tall now there's spots where I would be in 5th that now 4th is perfect for. Oh and the sound is great, quiet when puttin but loud when open.

Thanks everyone. Ya I got the ehs programmer since I don't have plans to go into the engine. The head pipe is completely different from the first ones they made, was very noticeable as soon as I took it out of the box.

No they came like that from the factory. It feels like it runs like it should always have, hard to explain but it's a world of difference.
Yeah I can't wait to get the big 3. These bikes are just so choked up from the factory. I wasn't very impressed at all when I first got my xx my yfz ran all over it all day.

Didnt someone in this forum just have a Barker exhaust totally come apart on them.. i cant find the thread but im sure someone just got a barker and an insert or something totally fell apart and he had to stand his quad on end to get the thing to fall out of the exhaust so he could see what the hell it was.....

that said, i never want to pay that much money for something and have it come apart... ever. FMF all the way, there's no price for reliability, IMHO.

That was a quiet core insert that fell apart not the whole pipe lol. I don't need a quiet core I can be as loud as I want where I live so it's not a problem for me. That was a pretty troll post by the way.

i guess that was a little trolly... i just hate it when i pay for somethin and then it comes apart. i dont know how many types of exhaust ive been through over the years, lots to say the least, but about 5 yrs ago i finally broke down and got an fmf, ive been runnin fmf for the last 5 yrs now, no problems, not one. so i guess now im a big advocate of reliability. Even if it was JUST the quiet core, where i ride i have to have it in, dont have the luxury like u do to run w/o it, so i woulda been po'd if i got a barker and the qc came apart. $20 is $20 and even if they send out a new one for $0, its still time down and it still shouldnt have come apart, especially so soon. anyway, im sure its a nice setup overall... it looks beautiful i can see that from the pics... but i guess im just an old reliable lol

yeah it was roadkill that had the quiet core come out. But i believe he still loves his barkers. as for the power it is noticable but putting exhuast on a bike isnt going to give it massive hp gains. although barker does have a decent hp gain with a programmer which MUST be used.

I will have to agree with tomkat. Nothing is better than reliability. You can be faster and better for a week, and I'll stay trouble-free for years.

Big 3 do nothing to the reliabilty of the bike just uncorks it a bit. I love reliability too that's why I have a honda. I've never heard anyone complain about the quality of barkers on other brand atvs so I can't see it being a problem other than needing a better quiet core if you need one. Anyways there are a bunch of people here now with the barkers so we will see in time how reliable they are, it is way to early to tell.
