Hi ive purchased a Big Gun full exhaust system for the trx 700 and thought i would share my thoughts on the product
firstly the reason for buying the big gun was down to availability here in the uk and the fact that Wayne Matlock now runs that system
On first impressions its a well put together system the pipework is all nicley bent the welds are nice and the end can is pretty trick
these are not only my comments but also my friends who is a race fabricater by proffesion
I like its feature of being in 4 parts being held together by springs also its fitment was straight forward and hassle free
It is a loud pipe however comes with spark arrestor and silencer if you wish to fit them
My only critcism of the exhaust is in the design of the collar on the small part that bolts into the head it simply isnt big enough and because of its small size there isnt enough of that collar for the clamp to get hold of so you dont get a even pull on the exhaust system into the head
secondly the clamp they use to hold the exhaust into the head is a cheap alluminium bracket which bends
why they designed it this way i i dont know personally i got my friend to fabricate and weld a bigger collar on the end and re used the original exhaust header bracket which is made out of cast alot stronger but again this requires enlarging and holes drilled for the springs
On the whole a good exhaust with some nice parts shame the header fitment design lets it down and the use of poor material bracket lets it down
I would recommend one but if you are the type of person who wants things done properly it will need work doing to it
