So I have been thinking about buying another 700XX for a couple of months now. Haven't really found much in the way of used, so pretty much decided to buy new. Found the best out the door price on an 08 at a dealer in Peoria, AZ. Planned on heading down in the next week or two to pick it up. In the meantime, I have been checking Craigslist pretty often and a little over a week ago I found a used one in Scottsdale, AZ for a good price, saved me a couple thousand over new. Went and picked it up today, this thing is clean, the guy has hardly ridden it. It is completely stock but have already bought a few things for it. Only took one lousy pic in my garage, but will get a few more tomorrow after I install some stuff.

So last week I ordered a twist throttle, PRM desert II front bumper, and a PRM belly skid. I already had the PRM tool holder/grab bar. Got the OMF beadlocks a few weeks ago and already had the razr's. The front wheels and tires are from my 250R. Stole them for now since they are the only set of 3:2 offset wheels I have, figure those would work a little better with the stock arms compared to a 4:1 offset wheel. Took a couple of pics after I got everything installed.

This one will be my race quad, while my other will be my "practice" quad. Both will have the same Teixeira Tech suspension and Motowoz shocks. The race quad will get full motor work (Ported head, new valves, piston, cam, exhaust, etc.) while the other will probably just remain a big three motor. During the longer races, the other 700XX can be brought along for spare parts. I will ride it most of the time saving the race quad for actual races.

Will take the quad out next weekend for its first ride. Looking forward to riding a 700XX again, been awhile. Yesterday when I test road it at the guys house, I forgot how unimpressive a bone stock 700 is in the motor department, plus I forgot how bad they push. Can't wait to get the suspension stuff and do some more motor work!

You can use any grips you want with it, but they have to be motorcycle grips. The twist side uses a larger diameter grip, so any grip that slides on just a handle bar will not work. You could still use the left side, not sure what ODI uses for a lock on grip for a twist throttle.

You could use your ODI grips, but the throttle side will be extremely tight, and it wont go on all the way. Just letting you know. Congrats on the purchase Doug. Good luck with it.
