Set the tire flat on the floor, get a 4-6 ft plank of wood and set it up like a ramp on the tire without touching the rim. Now get in your car and drive up the plank, this should break the bead.

That's strange... You don't see the cat anymore after you mount the new tire. I wonder where the cat went?

I use a skid steer, and put the bucket on the tire and use the weight of it. I have seen people use jacks as well, put the tire under their truck and jack on the tire and start jacking the truck up till the bead breaks. Best way is to just take it to a service place, it will cost some money, but as B.courtney said, 3 hours for 8 tires....thats worth 40 bucks to me, so I will let someone else do it in 15.

Well I took it to NTD and the kid started taking them off and left claw marks on the inside of the rim. I told him I did not want the rim all scratched up. He told me oh I figured it's on the inside and no one ever see's it. So he took the rest of the tires off after I showed him how to bite aluminum rims on the inside of the lip to prevent scratches. When he was done he looked at me and said "well we got em off that was easy peasy" I just looked at him didn't say a word turned around walked out and didn't pay him a dime.

So I'm getting ready to have my razr's mounted. Any words of advise on how to keep from getting my wheels all screwed up? I'm gonna take them to a tire shop that says they have a machine to mount them that won't scratch the wheels up.
