Just wanted to share with y'all an easy and cheap alternative to mod your airbox lid. With your stock lid, first remove the baffle, then using an exacto knife, trim around the raised "scoop" flush with the top of the lid. This will remove the top portion of your lid, leaving you with the sturdy plastic frame. On the Dennis Kirk website I found universal outerwear airbox covers part #305420 12in x 12 in that can be used under your newly trimmed airbox lid "frame" which will securely hold the outerwear in place, giving you open airbox performance while keeping out unwanted debris water etc. It will only take appx 1/2 hour of your time and costs about $15.:hey::hey:
