I am reassembling my engine after a rebuild and I can't get the clutch face to go back together because the T piece that the little bearing and washer fit on won't go into the shaft even with the engaging rod removed completely. I look in and it's like it's not meant to go in any further. It honestly makes no sense to me because obviously the clutch isn't engaged because the motor is sitting on the floor. It only assembles one way (i hope), so i'm stumped and it sucks to be so close to throwing the motor back into the cage and have it running, yet so far away. I've attached pictures of what i'm talking about so maybe someone can help me. Obviously any help is very much appreciated!
