Some pics of some of my friends during one of the practice sessions for a CMC MX race @ Hollister Hills. Only a few pics because this was the only session that I sat out. Our sessions were between different dirt bike classes and they sure as hell left the track very rutted. One pic is of what is called "The Elevator Shaft"... It is steeper than what it appears in the pic. You enter from a 180 left turn and hit the lip in 2nd and shift to 3rd in the air. The first time you take it, it will scare the crap out of you... or it did me.

Before you do that, let me get my camera. I always want pics of good carnage. That hill is quite steep and if you go off in 3rd, you'd probably not land until you hit the flat of the bottom... 50' drop. 5th gear in the air... OK, but you'd still have to back off hard to hold the tight 180 right turn that comes up right after the drop. There is a reason why they have both an ambulance and an air ambulance standing by. Like I said, let me get my camera first. But, what the hell do I know, you just might make it OK... still would be fun to watch. One thing I'd bet on is that I bet you wouldn't be screaming like a little girl the first time off like me.
