I'm wanting this to be a looong weekend so plan ahead now if you want to go. I'm thinking tentatively June 5th - 8th of getting a cabin or just plain ol' camping for the entire weekend and whoever wants to meet us there is more than welcome!

Cross Bar Ranch is home of 6500 acres of one trail that I heard was 24 miles!!! That's almost the same distance between Dallas and Fort Worth! This is going to be a fun filled weekend for riders of all ages, even my girlfriend on her 250 will be there. Hopefully i'm planning far enough out that if you need to ask off that friday and monday, you can.

Who wants to go?

I don't check this site often, but I couldn't have made Lake Murray anyway. We went to Little Sahara, OK this weekend. I didn't have paddle tires, but didn't really need them, they would've helped out accellerating though. Definitely a fun place to go and big enough to get lost in for awhile. We did some night riding and I noticed my header pipe glows orange all the time. Anybody else notice this on theirs? Mine is bone stock.

Not sure who missed out on more! There was tons of mud out here and we got a lot of onboard video! Even a great night run with the HIDs!

i think i remeber you being out there. didn't you jump into a puddle in the muddle of the night?
Didn't you wake up the camp with your snoring?! :lmao:

Yes I did - someone has it on video too, that whole trip that night was funnier than it looks in the video, specially when Jason busted his in the mud.

first a check list.
[1]hydro pack of some kind
[2]snacks
[3]frame gaurds
[4]pull strap
[5]a prayer to the tires gods in hopes that you do not pop a tire

things that would be nice.
a mapping GPS unit, compass would be nice through.
walkie talkies with somebody back at base

that place is so freakin huge and the little maps they give you do not help at all, because we only saw 3 mile markers and one sign telling us an obstacles name, DeadManSlide Hill, i think we only rode 13 miles of the 22 miles of the trail because a buddy rolled and may have a broken hand. those of you who are wanting something a little tougher should try it, but it is rough as hell in spots, but there are some nice elevation change. the biggest elevation change on thier website says 500 foot.

we may head back when it cools off outside and try for the hole loop.

BTW, the short loop sucks, don't bother.

You guys riding next weekend? It was unbeliva-hot today and I'm considering riding next weekend since my wife will be out of town. If I ride I might camp depends on how hellishly hot it is. (or not)
i most likely have to work sat, next week, so i am not sure. it was hot, but there was a nice breeze on top of some of big hills.
