I was looking for some feedback on the EHS lid kit. I am looking to do it more to keep water out than anything else. The spot on top of the lid looks like that would do a nice job compaired to the front opening. When I play in the streams the water seems to splash into that front hole pretty easily.

1) Has anyone had experience with it? How well does it work to keep the water out compaired to stock?

2) I am looking at buying the kit not the whole lid. Has anyone installed it? How easy/hard was it?

The EHS airbox lid is great. Went riding today and for first time since June , I do not have to remove the airbox to clean it . it's spotless.
I bought the lid complete not the DIY kit. I would recommend this to anyone either complete lid or diy kit.

Yeah thats great..... Except I did that before I asked these questions and didnt find the answers I was looking for. Mainly because the lids are used for performance and mine I was looking more toward water comming in or not. Especially because the XX lid is different than the many others with that big forward facing scoop. Isnt that what a forum for? To get answers for questions geared more toward your specific application? hmmmm

Sorry I cannot answer your original question though, I sold my kit before I attempted to install it. I do not find it worthy of the expense.

I ended up ordering the Lid Kit from EHS. I called up and talked to Eric. 1st of all really nice guy. He gave me 10% off as well so the kit ended up being $92 shipped. He said its easy to install and they give detailed directions. Definately great service from EHS. Ill post pics after the install. Hopefully it will look like all the other EHS lids (Otherwise I screwed something up) And I will let everyone know how it works to keep water out as well next time I bury this thing
