Ouch, check out my rim destruction.

Went out for a nice long ride in Claremont, NH. What you are seeing is the inside of the rim, I have it turned around in the picture. The lower bolt on the aluminum arm had the nut come loose, the blot slid out and started rubbing against the rim and cut through it like a lathe. It got thinner and thinner until the rim just popped apart. I had my old tires at the camp so we got to ride after switching them out but what a pain. The dents on the rim is from limping back to the trailhead. Tighten those bolts, one dead ITP rim. If you look close enough, you can see the ring of aluminum still holding the bead, don't know how I'm getting that off?

Thats a good one!! Note to self make sure the nut is on tight every now and then, Damn!!
