Ok like the title says do these batterys suck or what.. I had a 400ex that is now 11 years old still running around on the stock battery. My 700 is now 3 and 1/2 years old and its DEAD i mean dead I put it on the charger and it still wouldn't even cycle the fuel pump. What kind of batterys are you all replacing the stock battery with? thanks for the help! (by the way it jump started fine but when i shut it off...dead)

It very well might be lol I got eight on a 300ex and an original in a 2005 Yamaha bruin 350... after 3 years thought it was kinda soon for my 700's to die off.

Have you ever let it get flat?
Lead plates in modern batterys are wafer thin nowadays and just one flattening session can destroy a battery !

well it turned over slow this spring so I put a charge on it and it seemed ok. I started it once a month throughout the winter, I really think it was maybe a bad battery from the begining as the XX had always started or turned over slow. When I bought it I thought it was the nature of the beast. I prob should have kept it on a tender all the time when not riding it but as I said I always had decent luck with the original equipment. Thanks for everyones replies!!
