Not took the cover of yet , waiting for gaskets first.

Also found a smaller battery/ lighter battery which is equal to a ytx14-bs.
Cant get my head around the battery numbers , so is this better than a stock xx battery ?

Baxter, our machine takes a ytx9-BS. I dont know where you got the 14-BS one, but according to the chart, it wont work. Try this for ya, http://www.yuasabatteries.com/pdfs/2010_yuasa_apps_specs.pdf, page 10 or 11. The 14-BS is too tall. You can use the chart, and maybe compare to other battery companies. What you want is higher numbers for CCA, which will be better for starting. Take a close look though when you are doing this, as the weights show for the battery with out ACID, and then it says how much ACID it takes. I dont know the specific weight of acid of the top of my head, but figure 8lbs (b/c i roll like that) per 1 scf of water, so acid will be about that. You will just have to convert the liters to gallons and go from there buddy. Hope this helps.

The battery I have found is a replacement for a YTX14-BS .
But the measurements are 113x56x100 for the battery.
Stock measures are 150x87x105.
The replacement battery for a YTX9-BS is 113x29x100.
I needed something to :
A - Start the xx during a 3 hour race.
B - Run the fan for a 3 hour race.
The battery basically has to run for 3 hours without been charged.
Trying something differant on the ignition side, less rotating mas etc, etc.:D
Measurements are in millimeters.

It looks like the replacement you found is still bigger than what you say the stock battery is. Does the fan actually run off the battery when the quad is running? I am not too familiar w/ the electrical side of things on these. IDK of any battery that you could use that would run the fan for 3 hours, whcih I imagine w/ you racing, it would be running continuously. Sorry I can't be more help.

How much caffiene have you had ?:lmao:
Everything runs of the battery and the stator only charges the battery.
The fan does not run for 3 hours solid , it cuts in when the engine gets to a certain temp.

Lee my friend......I have had 4 red bulls today alone......I started my move yesterday at noon, worked all night, and have been up since. got to my parents house, and now I can't go to sleep. I can't believe my phenominal last response. HAHA, I know it is off the battery, as is everything on the quad due to no alternator. Sorry. And about the fan running continuously, I haven't noticed on mine, but I know on two of the 450s I had, it would run all the time after the littlest amount of debris got into the radiator. Going to bed now though.......I got someone to help me under the sheets if you know what I mean....that girl Roadkill posted haha.
