FMF/HMF Dobeck Settings

I recently called Dobeck for recommended settings on my XX with Header, Exhaust, Dobeck and Velocity filter. They told me to only raise Mode 2 and 3 one point each. I was thinking it would be higher.
How are you guys running your settings and the results.

Also on a side note both the HMF and FMF optimizer are made by Dobeck and use the map.

Good to know. I am doing this mod Friday and have no experience with the FMF EFI optimizer. Did these settings work for you?
ill openly say ..if you can shop around ... and have enough mechanical ability to install an exhaust ...and can get on the internet ... get a power commander so that you will not be "locked" into what parts you add to your machine ..and can always fine tune / adjust the fuel management.

if cost is the issue ... shop around ... you can find the power commander for the 700xx ata wide range of prices .... under 300 usually.

if you are worried about maps ... call dynotech ..they will help you make one ...

they have begun posting maps on their website for the 700xx.

the general idea behind the Power Commander is simple ... someone with mod a, b, and c take their quad to get dyno'd .... they have a map created and someone else with those same mods can use the same map ....

I strongly believe the shops that sell these less expensive fuel management devices should be spanked ... and generally only sell them because they know little to nothing about computers or are profit driven.

this is one of those items that is truly worth the additional 10-15% in price ... take my word for it. Wilson has one of these as well ..and we have been trading maps back and forth for a while now.

Trailin is right. I tried the 2Bros Juice Box, but the setting changes are very limited. I have always run Power Commanders on my street bikes with good results. I have a PC on order now, should be here in a few days. The real nice thing is you can actually see the fuel table when you are making changes to it, not just the flashing lights. I have been able to get mine running good, with no backfire or popping with the Juice box, so when I sell the box, it will be good to go. My real concern with the PC's is the water resistance, but I am going to mount mine in a small plastic box, like the ones Radio shack sells for hard drives. A little silicone and it will be totally waterproof
More details on that Radio shack box if you can. Like part numbers and price. Thanks and keep us posted. I am planning on getting a Power Commander also and was wondering where the best place is to get one.

Thanks
Is the consensus here that the Dobeck is not a good product? I have a buddy that has one with a HMF Penland pipe on his Renegade and it runs great. I just got my QRS pipe and HMF optimizer yesterday and will be putting in on soon. Still waiting on my Velocity air filter, it better get here tommorow. You guys have me a bit nervous. I can't imagine that if you are only going to a slip on and an aftermarket filter that the Dobeck won't be able to get you tuned in....btw, the QRS pipe looks SWEET...

My 2Bros box, which is the same as the HMF,FMF, and Dobeck works good, but it has limited adjustments and I wanted to see where I was adding/taking away fuel like you can with the Power Commander. It only took me a few tries to get the 700 tweeked just right, with no backfiring or popping.
I put on a full FMF exhaust, optimizer and Velocity filter yesterday and am real happy with it. I am sure the Power Comander is great for tunning with other mods, but this is it for me. This truly was an easy plug and PLAY mod. I don't have patience or the time to mess with maps and adjustments. Hook it up and ride.
