I need another quad so everyone in the family has one. My wife said so...thus it IS so. :D I LOVE HER!

We're looking at utility quads and I want a mud monster. We found a local 2009 KingQuad 750axi (no power steering) w/ 2500lb Warn Winch for $6000. It's from the same dealer I got all of the others from. They sold it to an older gentleman with bad hips. He thought he would be able to take it with the wider seats and overall gentle handling characteristics, but it was still too much for him. 143 miles, 8 hours runtime, MINT condition. I've shopped the whole country and can't find one shipped to me any cheaper. What do you guys and gals think? The dealer is just helping him out. It will be a cash transaction with him, warrantee included, no taxes :)hey:). I was thinking of offering $5700.

Sounds like a good deal but offer him $5,500 first then see what he thinks.

Yeah I agree with Nash04. Both the dealer and the owner are in a jam so low ball them as much as possible. Its still a used quad.

Investigate if they changed the frame as the 2005-2006 had bad problems because the gage of the tubing was too small and it just keeps breaking. Power steering is a must on a utility for me JMO

Thanks for the tips everyone!

Nash, done and waiting to hear back. I figure they'll come back at $5700 or so which is fine.

Rappy, it's an 09 so I don't think the frames an issue.

daGirl, thanks for the links, I'll check em out!

Forgot to mention, it's was sold by the dealer on January so it's a whopping 2 months old and it has the new warrantee deal which is 2 years instead of 1. Not sure if we'll extend beyond that.

And the deal is now done! $5500, private sale...no uncle sam!

It was dark when I got it home, but I had a chance to cruise around a bit. Amazing how powerful and nimble it is considering the size and weight. One thing that surprised me was how easy it is to kick the ass-end out. Much easier than the XX. I can only assume it's the stiffer suspension. I'll throw a couple pics up tomorrow.

Thanks all, pretty happy with the purchase. This thing is fun! And it'll go anywhere...been over stuff I wouldn't even look at with the other quads.

Here's a couple pics, one of the new beast and one of the current "stable". :hey:
