After seeing BiFFMan video at Nellis, decided to purchase the camera at their web site http://www.goprocamera.com/products which is a little cheaper then CycleGear. Except I bought the Surfing one since I also river raft. Can't wait to play with it.

That's what I have an use, the ATC2k. It shoot's "ok" video and is water resistant to 5 meters (or something like that). I couldn't pass up the price though since mine was $48 at Sam's here in Austin and the gopro's go for twice as much. The biggest complaint that people have about the GoPro's is the battery life being very short. I've had the same lithium batteries in my ATC2k since I started filming with it....

If money is no object for someone, you could always try the VholdR CountourHD Camera. Unless someone already has one???

It holds up to 16GB SD card and up to 8 hours of HD video...which is considerably better than the GoPro. Only downside is, this camera only has 135 degree angle lens compared to the WIDE angle GoPro at 170 degrees. ..oh, that and the GoPro is like $150 less...but like I said, if money is no object!

I watched the video they had on that link. If that is the quality that thing offers I'd buy the GoPro any day of the week over that. Not sure if you saw the vid at the bottom.

The VHold looks pretty good but noticed when he's moving around the picture tends to get distorted, over all pretty good but I'll stay with the GoPro which this weekend I used for rafting and was able to film more than 2 Gig of video even though they say that it might get corrupted over 2. Need to figure out why the sound was not that good and was getting a squeaky noise throughout all the videos which could be the SD stick.

For ATV videos you'll find that on most cameras the audio is pretty much garbage noise. In my videos I *almost* mute all camera audio out, but not enough to where youtube stripps the audio out for copyright reasons.
