Most on here go with the Power Madd. http://www.powermadd.com/
And they look cool, lots of add ons and color options. I wanted something that was a little stronger, and went with Emgo. http://www.amotostuff.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=AML&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=79-97954

I did have to slightly adjust my clutch and brake lever. So the brake line didn't rest on handguard mount. And I really dont like to see levers hanging out below the guards. I want them to protect me as well as the equipment.

It depends on what you are looking for. Tusk makes some nice ones for cheap. They have worked well for me

Are those the ones that just attach, at the end of the bars? They look sweet I like the design of those over the power madds.
Yes. I had to buy the tusk bar inserts to fit my Renthal handlebars. I really like them. I usually get a lot of compliments on them.

Can someone show a close-up of the Powermad mounting areas?

I have moose hand guards that wrap all the way around. To me, these are a lot stronger. I have always used them on everything, if I didn't have them on one bike, my fingers would be gone today as I hit a tree doing about 30, right over my front brake lever. I don't have pics on here, but if you have an email addy, I can send them to you tonight via cell phone. Most of the ones that wrap around into the end of the bar you may have to adjust your levers a little bit to make it fit. I naturally like my levers doing down a little bit, so when I pull it is up and in, but everyone has their styles.

I can't use my bar ends as I have the left side reamed out so I can put my mirror in there so I can be legal when I ride on the streets. Basically I want protection from rocks thrown at me while racing. I don't want to move my controls and need bar ounts only.
