Just wanted to see how those who were going down to HFM faired on the trails?
I rode Friday at Gilbert and Saturday at Logan and logged around 150 miles total. Both rides were great, and I took some great video and pictures too. Here is a quick breakdown of the highlights:
Rockhouse: Completed all the B/R trails.. 94/95/96. Didn't think that they were that bad. However, Black 91 is the real deal IMO. I have some great video of my XX and my buddy's LTZ going up the super rocky hill on 91. The 700 dominated. Found some playgrounds too with some decent hillclimbs. Also, out of six trips, finally saw my first ranger down there. They stopped our group and asked for our permits. haha.
Bearwallow: After it rained all night and throughout the day, the trails were wet, muddy, and rocky. Fun. I actually enjoyed this trailhead better than Gilbert. I think it's more challenging. We hit three black trails in a row.. 91, 69, and 94. 94 was closed but we did it anyways. We saw why 94 was closed at the top, so we went back using a single track trail and that was a blast.. very technical and narrow. Also, we went down B/R trail 88 and 59.. 59 is the big cliff, and honestly, I was nervous going down it. Worked out nice though.
All in all, a great time and no breakdowns. 700xx ftw! Super impressed with it.
