I'm debating on if it's something I want bad enough to ask for one for Christmas (by asking, I mean buying myself :lmao. I would like to hear some opinions about whether or not it's something I should go for or if I should get something else. I don't have an infinite budget so this would probably be the only "big" present I would get. Tell me what ya'll think...

A GoPro is an awesome investment. I got great video of our ride(and crash) yesterday. My buddies and I have watched the footage a million times. Having footage of rides is priceless!!!

Go for it!... BUT... personally, and this is just my opinion... I don't like the big box on the side of the helmet... I'm looking into buying a Contour HD... If I'm not mistaken, it's cheaper than the GP HD...

I was looking into getting the contour hd mainly because of the shape but after doing research and reading reviews I went with the GoPro. Got mine cheaper than the countour. I agree with Ceballos about the block shape of the GoPro :lmao:

Where did you find it for 220? I can get it from rockymountainatv.com for 250 but thats the cheapest and only because I have a $50 credit with them. My wife took the hint and is going to order it here in a few days, but I would love to get the best deal possible.

Before you Buy the Go Pro I might Suggest looking into Contour. I just picked up the Contour HD GPS for close to the same price as the HD go pro.. The GPS tracks Speed, Altitude, and Maps Location on Google Earth. Also its Much smaller and Less intrusive then the Go Pro. The video on both is Very similar but I personally think the Contours was a clearer Picture.

I have the VholdR Contour 720P that I bought from RPMGear.com and I like it. Takes good video (once you figure out where it needs to be adjusted) But you can't move your goggle strap or it throws the angle off.

That's my only gripe about it.

And speaking of priceless memories that people like to watch, here is mine in 480p mode (720p is wide angle and nobody likes wide angle video because it's distorted)
