It's tough to tell, I'm no good with wiring diagrams. But the service manual says that the green one is a Pulse Ground, I think you want positive? the Blue and Yellow one is labeled as a Input CKP Sensor Positive. The three yellow's go to the regulator, the blue/yellow and Green go to the ECM. So, I'd think it would be the Blue/Yellow. Hopefully someone else on here with a service manual who knows how to read a wiring diagram better than me can chime in.

Just did a quick Google search, The CKP on the Blue/yellow wire stands for Crankshaft Position Sensor (no idea why it's not labeled CPS) Then googling Crankshaft Position Sensor killswitch, turned up with a bunch of pages listing how to run a killswitch off of that wire.

It doesn't really matter which way round the 2 kill switch wires go it will still work if connected to the right place.
The only down side if you get it wrong is you get a shock off your grip wire if you get it wrong (at least you do on a 450r).

So to clarify, this means we put the kill switch between the blue/yellow wire and the quad's earth. Then when you pull the lanyard a circuit is made from the pulse trigger and earth, stopping the engine without any harm to anything!

Yes or No?

I have found a normally closed kill switch which just connects into the black/white wire on starter /kill switch loom.:yay:

Simon ,the one that is fitted to your 450r is a normally open kill switch as is runs when open. The 700xx needs one that is normally closed when it is running and stops when open.
