I just picked a 700xx up and the top end was blown, trying to save some money and find a nice used one. What can you do? I seen new ones on eBay for a few hundred

Why don't you just have it replated, this company has done mine a few times and does great work. it will probably bee cheaper, depending on what cat wants.

yeah $219.95 for one cylinder.
likely worth it . if you cant find one in good shape for less .

New OEM is only $250. So depending on the damage to OP clyinder, he may not be able to just have the inside walls fixed. I purchased a big bore kit awhile back on the forum for less than half of that. It was a oem bored cylinder and CP piston kit! So it'd be nice if he could find a cylinder in good used condition for half the price of new.
