Yea it's fast but it should be with all those mods, and it weights 80 or so lbs less than a xx. If U had the same mods it would be alot diff.

Wiseco high comp piston (11:1 is my guess), big 3 with duals, Hot Cams stage 2, mild build, good for trail riding. Its no competition since you are bone stock... dont feel bad about it at all. Have ridden both bikes quite a bit, and cant really tell which is faster stock.

The video makes him pulling away look a lot more dramatic since its a wide lense. He jumped two lengths ahead of me when I let off the throttle to bring the front end down. I had a really bad race but when he and I got on it elsewhere I could tell he was pulling. No big surprise there. That quad is like a crotch rocket on dirt. His dad built the motor in their garage and he also built the other raptor 660 I raced. His dad was motorcycle mechanic before he became an engineer so he knows his sh#t. I think the video proves that, haha.

I raced a raptor 700 with sand tires at little sahara last weekend............I started in second and came off the line faster than he did! Then I hit the rev limiter :( he passed me and I had just caught up at the end..........If I hadn't messed up.....I'd have won. His was stock except the tires, mine is stock except the 13t sprocket.

If you're gonna put it to it, starting in second saves time shifting.

Yes, thats built. Internal motor work=built.
X2. As soon as you crack open the engine (below the head) and start doing internal mods you can consider it built.

I guess we have a different Interpretation of what "built" means.

To me a built motor is a heavily modded engine, ie, piston, porting,stroked/bored ect...not saying your definition is wrong, just different from what I picture when the word "built" is used.

So unless you have every mod known to man you're not considered fully built?! Ooooookaaaayyyyy...:disgust:

I did not say that, but if you want to go that route, once you have taken apart you motor and put it back together it is "built"...Right! and to think all I had to do was adjust my valves instead of spending all that money for a built motor.

So technically it's built when you buy it new:confused:. Like I said once you go into the engine, below the head, it's considered built.

My opinion is once the piston has been swapped its "built". A cam swap to me isnt a built engine and a ported head and cam swap isnt either but once the jug comes off I consider that the line crossing over into a "built" engine.
