I didn't ask to end the poll because others didn't share my view. In fact, I wanted to hear the views of others. I didn't want the poll to run for a long time and that's where I screwed up. I only wanted to get a sampling of how others felt and in that, it served it's purpose in a short time. As for ending the thread itself... Others had indeed shared their opinions... even if not all the members were able to respond before the thread ended. Got a wide variety of views while it was open and saw the concerns of others to my idea... That IS what I wanted... not for others to see things my way. However, I did feel that if the thread continued, it could easily turn into a pissing match and cause hard feelings within the membership and that is something I didn't want. You must admit that some of the responses did rather strong for and against the idea... I myself even almost got to a point to where I wanted to verbally slap one member and I'm usually a very mellow person. Once something turns into an argument or pissing match, then it's too late to stop things and repair hurt feeling and considerable damage could be done. Right or wrong, that's the reason I wanted to end the thread. I just noticed that the poll is indeed closed, but the thread is still open... I still have my concerns about a pissing match, but I'll accept the mods leaving it open.
