They are picked randomly by a computer code out of peoples albums in their profile.

Upload pictures to albums in your profile and your pics will get pulled at random to be in that section as well.

Can you give me a quick lesson on how to do that?

Click on your name on your post, your name at the top of the screen where it says when you last visited and shows your PM's, or click "Quick Links" just above that and choose "Your Profile"

Then when you get there it will somewhat resemble this:

Click "Add Album" and it should be fairly simple from then on. Just like Facebook, Myspace, Photobucket etc...
