I know I should just buy a ute, but I like the challenge. Does anyone know how and what to use to make this work? I took my xx out in thru some real deep places with no problem, i just want the added protection.

The only viable way would be to remove the air box and run PVC out towards the back. Secure connections would be really important or you would risk sucking in more water with the snorkel than without it.

Smooth is right. Out the back, probably tap right into the throttle house, use that same diameter all the way back. You could possibly use some rubber tubing instead of PVC, like what you could get on a truck intake. I don't know where you could get it though. But that would be the only way to do it, unless you were to cut a hole in the seat. You're filter would have to go on the end of it. The only other way would be to cut a hold in the back of the air box, and run PVC out from there, but you would need to get another cover that is definately air tight.

I would tend to lean towards leaving the filter as is and running PVC out the back like you said. Then silicone the cowl on the air box lid shut and silicone the cover on. Theorectically your snorkel should be less restrictive that way because the filter stays closer to the intake. And you still have the original filtration system intact. This would also take care of the engine vent tube that runs into the airbox. You would still need to do something with the other breathers tubes though.
