I was wanting to take a trip out to either Glamis or Buttercup on Sunday as it shows the temps to be in the low 80's.....but after looking a little closer at the weather forcast, I believe they're saying there will be wind around 25-30 mph with occ'l gusts....This would be our first trip out there. My question is, would that hinder our riding out there? We've never been so I have nothing to judge it by. Thanks

Monday would be a better day!
At 20 mph the blowing sand starts to obscure the terrain.
Witches Eyes and Drop offs at any real speed start to look like its just smooth sand until you get right on them. Not so good.

Its still fun, you just have to be real careful. Wear long sleeves and something on your face if you go on Sunday. The sand stings pretty good on the open flesh.

The other nice thing about the wind is you can ride in an area, leave it for a half hour and come back and it’s all fresh for you again.
