thats your best bet unless you find a used one . they only come in white iv seen alot of pics of them and there are ppl here that run them i know i love them if they ever come out with black ill buy one

On IMS's website, they do have a few colors listed, red, black, and natural. I am guessing Rocky Mountain only carries the natural color.

Fit on them isn't great, the tank is wider so the upper fender/hood piece does fit kind of rough. Figure you are now holding almost 5 gallons of gas in a space that used to only hold a little over three. Unless I really look close, I don't even notice it. For me, fit is secondary, I have to have the extra fuel capacity, and the tank fills that need perfectly.

IMS is the only site so far that has a 4.8 gal tank that I need. Cost $275 a little more than I wanted to spend but a good trade off for extra fuel. The fit and function was my concern so I wonder if they sell after market fuel tank covers that work with the IMS tank? I may still purchase one just to see how well it works then order another cover and trim it out here and there. Still $$$$$.

No luck on a aftermarket cover for an IMS tank, no one makes one and I doubt anyone ever will. The stock one won't work, the tank is quite a bit bigger then stock. Even with a cover, the fit will still be off, the tank is just much larger and that is the problem, it pushes out the stock upper fender/hood piece.

i know a guy that was real good with fiberglass and fab him self on and it was just like stock
